Clarko was finished the second he stepped away. Easiest money hes ever made.

I get the allure of returning to your former club and rebuilding the joint from the ground-up, but North Melbourne’s degree of difficulty is next level.

Leigh Matthews had the right idea when he returned to coaching 4-5 years after getting sacked by Collingwood — slide into a custom-built ezycare chair with prime/near-prime Voss/Akermanis/Black/Lappin and friends plus $800,000 or whatever it was in extra salary cap beneath you.

Can we please ban this Twitter account from this board? Has all the credibility of a Bay 13 post.
Literally just throwing darts. This one is like 60/40 so hedged his bets. Genius.

Can we please just delete them. Nothing will save them besides giving them like 10+ established above average players.

Yea I'm not convinced Leigh was that great a coach really, his Collingwood time is probably the true reflection.

People need to realise the wildcard stuff is about minimising the number of dead rubbers on the fixture, especially when we're expanding to 20 teams soon and who knows how many eventually given the insatiable appetite for expansion.

Keep teams alive and with hope longer so you have less meaningless games that nobody cares about. Ultimately the top teams will still win.

If ultimately the top teams will still win what is the point in the exercise? The KISS principle seems absolutely lost these days.

All the other states have declared NO to taking them on.

I mean...honestly hard to be critical of the decision given this. Clearly its a shit event no one wants. Really only can be critical that they bid for it in the first place.

Enter every cooker in Australia suddenly having a heretofore undeclared passion for the Commonwealth Games.

They didn’t really bid.
Nobody wanted it, was supposed to be announced in 2019, so by 2022 Victoria went, ‘well if no one else will we will, it’ll be a good excuse to invest in the regions’.

I don’t mind the Commonwealth Games as Wales competes (I’d never support a GB team in anything, well apart from war like 😂).

Id always support garlic bread.

Carlton’s Jordan Boyd was referred directly to the Tribunal for his tackle on Darcy Byrne-Jones, which left the Port Adelaide player concussed.
It was graded as careless conduct with severe impact and high contact, resulting in a direct referral with a recommended sanction of at least three matches.
In the end the Tribunal agreed with the impact grading, which was the only element contested by the Blues, resulting in a three-match man. Boyd will miss games against West Coast, Collingwood and St Kilda.
