They have had a lot of success so the punters believe it’s only a matter of time and I’m not talking 10 years.
Not really. Only 2 premierships since 1994 despite their wealth. It's more about off field success for them.

They are the biggest sport and social gig in town with the support of most of the big corporates and the press with a huge amount of $$$ in the bank.

Much like the crows but on a much grander scale.

Were given a huge platform by being the first team to join the VFL outside of Victoria. And Freo were always playing catch up and didn't have the history and social capital behind them like Port had when we joined.

Also owned by the WA Football Commission and not the AFL. If the WAFC ever decides to sell that licence to a private buyer then the West Coast juggernaut will become even stronger.

Non Victorian clubs are better judged by grand final appearances than premierships IMO. West Coast consistently get to grand finals, as do Sydney. You know you're never far off at least appearing on the big day with those clubs. With clubs like Port and Freo among others, you're left wondering how many decades it might be before the next grand final appearance.

So it's been announced today Clarkson will be back coaching Norf within a month.
This might sound harsh, because it is.

But must say I'm surprised his mental health therapist thought that going back to coach that bunch of losers was going to help his recovery.

A fan of the Myth of Sisyphus is my guess.

Harley Reid is from some buttfuk town near Echuca. Not Middle Park. West Coast should definitely draft him. Give him a steady stream of of Bronzed Perth Groupies and the adulation of a million WA parochial weirdos and he'll be fine.
He’s probably never even been to Perth or Adelaide, just hears the dumb shit from the Victorians in their concrete shithole.

Gee these Vic clubs who hardly have to get on a plane whinge a lot about fairness

Scott believed it would be unfair for teams outside of SA to have to play Adelaide and Port Adelaide in Gather Round on a weekend that is supposed to be neutral.

All of this (justified) whingeing about the unfairness of the draw but nobody mentions the obvious elephant in the room of the MCG grand final and the fact that 14 of the last 16 premiers are from the same state who have only just over half the teams.

Nice of channel 7 to dig up footage of Shane Tuck playing against Port for the inquest story.

*I'm sure it was only us he copped some hard tackles against eh

Or that Geelong continually keep on getting new taxpayer funded grandstands magically added on to their virtually rent free stadium.

So if he gets picked by Norf, can we Boo Harley?
No. Because going to Norf is its own punishment.

And there is nothing in Norf's locker that would interest West Coast in terms of trading their No. 1 pick to them in any case.

If West Coast are interested in trading that pick it will be for a high quality early 20s tall IMHO.
