PLUS Your club board comp is now up!
Moral victoryOdd that none of that was front page news and being harped on about.
You've missed the point Bravey.
The AFL has a clear rule that it enforces with an iron fist - with huge penalties to players coaches or officials who breach it -NEVER to make an adverse comment about umpiring decisions.
And yet here we have the AFL going public admitting their umpires made A mistake on the back of a club whining about it.
As if that decision was the only incorrect call made all weekend or the worst non call made all season.
There are dozens of incorrect, controversial or non-call decisions made across any single game in the AFL. Why is THIS one any different. And why shouldn't every coach in every after match presser highlight wrong calls from now on?
To be clear - Olsen (I assume) did not approach the AFL about this decision to get it overturned of course. He did it with one goal in mind - to intimidate umpires in future Adelaide games leading up to the finals.
As Ford Fairlane said - it's a slippery slope.
THIS.No, glad we don’t have some slimey ex poli at the club who bleats like a sheep.
We are getting a decent run with umps now we have some respect from them. Respect for being a decent team with decent players.
Yes. But not anal plugs afaik.Don't teams carry spare shorts?
Always thought he was a s**tstainIf there’s not a loud POOOOOOO directed at him at the next few showdowns, I’ll be very disappointed.
They actually said it was the 'correct' decision...and Port Adelaide did not seek an explanation from the AFL over the decision. The point being losing that game eliminated us from the finals and bringing up a single decision wouldn't change that.Didn't the AFL say after the fact that the Luke Shuey free kick in that EF shouldn't have been paid?
I'm pretty sure we gave them a 'please explain' behind closed doors.
It's hard to decide which excuse is less believableLol how is the "ben keays incident" him shitting his own dacks and not him ripping the eye wear off another player
Every time he gets the ball they should have a brown card to hold up from the bench. The port’s cheer squad should wave a bunch of shitty white crows pants at the next showdown.
Yes. But not anal plugs afaik.
This might change for the crows from now on.
How does one accidentally rip googles off of someone’s head?

AFL says high contact free kick to Luke Shuey was correct, in West Coast's extra time win over Port Adelaide
The AFL umpiring department has given a tick of approval to the high contact free kick paid to Luke Shuey that resulted in his after-the-siren-goal in West Coast's thrilling win over Port Adelaide on Saturday night.www.theage.com.au
Only calling it incorrect months later iirc.
Shuey himself admitting in 2020 that he shrugged to milk the free.
