...... meanwhile down at Thebarton

The local MP and Deputy Premier Tom Koutsantonis, was on the ABC just now says this claim is a beat up and part of the negotiation tactics.

Says the issue has already been solved.

Says the oval development will go ahead with a couple of trees of the 10 on that temporary second practice oval to go.

More of an issue is the West Torrens Council saying they don't want any responsibility for looking after the area once the crows move in. FMD.

GOLD Coast has delisted Jeremy Sharp and Jake Stein, finalising its list ahead of the upcoming AFL National Draft.
Sharp was selected by the Suns with the 27th pick of the 2019 draft after they executed the second ‘live’ draft night trade with Geelong to grab the West Australian wingman.

This also means that the second practice oval will be delayed until the South Rd Project is complete and some of the remaining available land is returned to the Crows

That could be in 20 years time at this rate

Ha. Which would suit Channel 7 and the Advertiser just fine. Think of all the beat up stories they can run about the project being sabotaged over that time.

So the Crows want free land and the council to do the upkeep free of charge? What is this? West Lakes?

Sounds perfectly reasonable since the Crows aren't going to be paying rates.
Yeah, not sure of the specifics but I think the argument is that the Council insisted that the public have access to the open spaces when not being used by the crows - which was agreed. And therefore the Council should assume some maintenance responsibility for those grounds as it does with other ovals and parks in its area (as is the case now with Thebarton Oval).

I'm sure they will reach an agreement by the time the thing is finished. Doubt I'll be around when that happens, and wouldn't be interested anyway.

Definitely questionable, I hear they are quite shady
You need to leaf well enough alone before you branch out into those sort of puns 🤔

I was a bit stumped, and didn't twig what was going on until I re-read the post.

A treemendous effort nonetheless, and it definitely has more bite than it's bark to it.
