Dogs just have too many passengers. You could delist Laitham Vandermeer, Lachie McNeil, Artie Jones, Sam Davidson, Lachlan Bramble, Oskar Baker, Buku Khamis, Harvey Gallagher, Taylor Duryea and Josh Dolan tomorrow and nobody would bat an eye. That's nearly half their team.

Umpiring aside, which I think was the difference in that result, the things that stood out in the way Collingwood iced that, which we simply cannot replicate:

1. Tall, contested marks all over the ground when the going was tough. The idea that we can play in a tight, physical, contested game and hit Georgiades and Lukosius on the chest all night is fanciful. You must have a ruckman and at least one key forward and one key back who can take huge contested marks especially in games like that.

2. Tackle and chase frenetically. We’re no good at that although there should be nothing stopping us.

3. Walk through and shrug off tackles. Sidebottom and Pendlebury do it for fun. Daicos too.

4. Small players who stand tough under the high ball and have strong hands. Schultz and Elliott were great examples late. Our smaller players just don’t have this in them.

5. Key senior players standing when needed.

Ports senior players are as anti clutch as they come

How on earth do Collingwood fit Houston, Perryman, Daicos, Moore, Howe, Maynard and Quaynor in their backline?

Ours is like a reserves backline compared to them.

33-15 frees collingwoods way LOL
As an example of how stuffed our game is, Bulldogs missed a blatant in the back free where DeGoey was paid the mark late in front of goal. Two minutes later, Bale was penalised for a ridiculous contested insufficient intent. Daicos then walked the ball over the line with no free against him. Game is stuffed.
