I realise that Ozzy but he's just such a shit ruckman , we'd be better off having Boomer in the ruck;)
Never said he is shit just said he can't mark and he doesn't impose himself physically in a game. Keep to the topic or raise that in the other thread. Offering boomer as ruck sets you in the sack Scott thread maybe you can throw hat in there.

Goldstein last year played really well against us and bathed minson i thought on the day- big loss for next week.
really strange why u would send him out with his arm dangling to the side, gave the opposition renewed courage around the contest i thought which was a mistake.

Though many idiots over the years have tried to build us up as some sort of rivals our histories and situation proves quite the opposite - more comrades against the establisement. Good Luck with 2014!

Im saying that you've made an opinion based on what you've seen of him......2 full games and the 9 others with the green vest on. 11 games in total. Im prepared to wait a fraction longer before I contemplate pulling the trigger and say get rid of.
We are all frustrated in our performance.......I choose to look and focus on those who have more games under their belts as those Ive mentioned, ironically enough the media today are potting those very same players......"the midfield" made up of Zeibell,Basti,Wells and Cunnington (who I would slip a little because of his concussion tests) .....If Brad choses to go the soft option he would probably target a player like McKenzie, or LMac but in my opinion he should be looking at the most experienced of those and that is Wells.

And that is precisely where you and I differ. Dropping Wells especially against Footscray would be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Despite your self-professed far-sighted approach to team selection the aim of the game at this stage of the teams evolution is to win games. I don't believe McKenzie helps that prospect. You call it soft. I say pick the best. Wells has considerably more credits in the bank than most and won't be dropped. But Bastinac should be a candidate. Goes missing far too often.

I'll compromise …drop Basti ! My view is worst performed mid gets the week off. Set standards now , draw lines the sand etc as credits should be renewed each year... Not interested on reputations, but 22 players having a crack every week.
We've speculated all summer about Tudor,Brown... & Walsh coming in and keeping him on the straight and narrow you heard his words at the presser we've heard them b4 he has to whack someone of significance this week on the selection table.
Yep cut my nose off is the way here.

Because Goldstein with no arms is more competitive in the ruck than Petrie with 2 good arms.

A very very humiliating loss.

The gif thread cheers me up tho.

Feels like the commentary team are giving North a backhand every time they say that the Saint and Dee supporters would be happy with the effort they're seeing.
Not really. They are reflecting low expectations.

Keys going ok, from what I've seen?

Going ok. They aren't too good either team but it's a bit like a prize fight. But how good is Riewoldt.

Riewoldt usually looks a class above, in a game between good teams. He looks ridiculously good tonight, and he does work very hard. Have to go for Saints, I so want the Roos thing to fall over.

What you need to ask yourself is this. How much of Tudor's tactics have been embraced by Scotts? No Tagger is the obvious one. Sure blame can be apportioned to the players but the buck stops with the coach. :stern look

The midfield cannot use the coach as an excuse. They have the best (proven) midfield coach in the business.

Weirdest moment of the night for me.......what was going on there??

It is embarrassment. I would feel shame getting around the only bloke beating his direct opponent because he is playing like his life depends on winning the contest.

This isn't just a midfield issue. It is a team wide issue. And I will say it again. Ask yourself how much of Tudor's tactics has Scotts embraced? I understand that blame must be apportioned upon the players for the token pressure they have applied thus far in their defensive efforts this preseason / season but what you need to comprehend is that ultimately the way we play is the responsibility of Scotts. Bottom Line. :stern look

If we have a weakness of not applying enough pressure to the opposition and blazing away then we are doomed. All the hype about finishing top 6 and making finals as well as NDS adding class to the side may be put into the bin. I'm expecting a good performance against the dogs next week as well as an organised structure along with a successful tactic. I just hope we comfortably beat the bulldogs. Brad better get his shit together during the week and have a hard look at who is worthy and who is not. Me and pretty much the whole fan base can't keep watching the same old excuses from Scott after a shit match. I hope it's only round 1 otherwise we are in big trouble.
