I'll have to show my ignorance here. Why are they all saying that the pre-season is 3 weeks, the shortest ever? Are not January and February part of the pre-season?Burgess on now.
3 weeks not a long time to prepare players.
All but 3 players ran PBs today.
New draftees all presented well.
Mentioned Thilthorpe, Soligo, Rachele, Taylor as guys who we should see improvement this year.
That's just standard. If possible he looks slower.Sloane looks proppy running.
Astounding we gave him a contractThat's just standard. If possible he looks slower.
Trials generally start in JanuaryI'll have to show my ignorance here. Why are they all saying that the pre-season is 3 weeks, the shortest ever? Are not January and February part of the pre-season?
Gallagher mentioned Hugh Bond taking him under his wingSounds like Edwards has leadership all over him.
Sounds like Bond and Keane live with each otherGallagher mentioned Hugh Bond taking him under his wing
Hopefully Hugh has a better second year. He has the body for AFL.No surprise there, Hughey lives with Mark Keane who only arrived back yesterday and of corse Hughey is a very levelheaded young bloke that was a great leader/captain at the Rebels. Keane said he got the OK to come back later than most because he'll now be spending the Chrismas break in Adelaide and getting in a training block in then.
Bond? Hugh Bond?Sounds like Bond and Keane live with each other
Are we talking VB leadership or Dawson leadershipSounds like Edwards has leadership all over him.
I refuse to believe this. I was told by the experts that 2nd year reco recovery is like being 24 againThat's just standard. If possible he looks slower.
2 key things I think there are mental side and also being fitter and stronger and less fatiguedAbove all else, I genuinely hope we practice/address our goal kicking issues in 2023.
We kicked the third most behinds last year, only the Lions and Port kicked more. Port had the most in 2023.
I obviously dont know the detail of how many were rushed, assuming here that its an even spread for all teams.
even fog was oddly inaccurate at points2 key things I think there are mental side and also being fitter and stronger and less fatigued
Rankine , Rachele and Dawson are 3 that have sublime skills but kicked way too many points last year
Thilthorpe too at back end
More inaccurate at goalseven fog was oddly inaccurate at points
Yes. That started the year before. I could mostly tell when he was about to miss, because he departed from his normal routine and rushed it. Mental/tiredness, maybe.even fog was oddly inaccurate at points
He's one of those types of forwards where I'd rather have him kicking for goal from further out than close in.Yes. That started the year before. I could mostly tell when he was about to miss, because he departed from his normal routine and rushed it. Mental/tiredness, maybe.
He got a clutch one from the boundary to beat Hawthorn. He's one of those types of forwards where I'd rather have him kicking for goal from further out than close in.
How many set shot misses v on the run misses.Above all else, I genuinely hope we practice/address our goal kicking issues in 2023.
