Predict the Crows first draft pick 2024

Hi all

Time to put up your thoughts and see who has bragging rights for a day (or 2) after Wednesday night.

My view is we do trade with Kangas for pick 2. We are the obvious trade partner as many have suggested. We then take Draper. Ideally third rounders only used (potentially swapping these with another team like Sydney for their F2 which we give to Kangas) esp with 2025 being the first year allowing 2 future years of draft pick trading allowing us to get back into the draft in 2025.

If keeping 4, clearly it comes down to who is left over but my gut feeling is we take Langford.

If things fall how I imagine then yeah we'll likely select Draper at 4

Still love Langford more, but understand the melts if Draper was there and we took him instead.

If Carlton do the unthinkable and take Draper then I hope we do pull the trigger on Langford.

Crows seem to like seeing how players play v men (ie Jones ), so based on that I think the 2 players we’d like is out of Smith and Draper .

The Advertiser couldn't be wrong so we trade up to pick 2 and take Jagga Smith.

Sydney won't trade a second needed by Norf for two of our thirds because from 2025, after all the compo picks and bid matching, a heap of the thirds held by top eight clubs and maybe even lower won't have any points attached. Sydney apparently could have a couple of top 20 players to match next year so will need points, they're not trading in third rounders.

Suspect we'll find another way to appease Norf
