Lalor is not a mid/forward, he's a mid that can go forward and rattle the scoreboard big time.
Lalor had hardly played any forward time previous to this season and the only reason he played forward was a fitness issue due to hip/groin issues that negated him doing any preseason.

Guess what we also found he is super effective forward as well.

Game style wise the only similarity he has to Rachele is that they both played for Vic Country.

By the end of Wednesday night one of the following will be an Adelaide Crow. Now, will you as a die hard/Nuff/Lover of the footy club (cos that's what we are on here) be happy with either one of these players? Me, it's a toss of the coin Draper or Smith. We need Draper or Smith more than we need Langford. we already have the likes of Dawson at that size and Charlie Edwards at that size. what we need is more speed and elite ball use/ball magnet types and Smith/Draper fit that.

things about to turn this time mate. after being ultra competitive for most of the period from 2000 to 2017 (I read somewhere around our GF year that we had the 3-4th highest winning % this century) but clearly without having anything to show for it, this time IT IS different.

We have never gone a full rebuild before so the last few years has been a first for all of us. Only once ever in our history had we missed finals for 3 years (1994-1996) the last 7 years feels like a long long time. But its now allowed a handful of elite or on the way to elite players and a HEAP of very next level down A graders/B+ types (B+ is Soli, Fog etc so pretty decent quality)

And we will be back in the finals for a good 6-8 years (minimum - similar to Lions / GWS recent period) with young list profile.
