Scribe, did you tell Coburg that these were mostly reserves games? Seems like you mislead them reading your bio.

Fraser has a substantial background in local football. He started his career playing with Old Trinity Under 19s and subsequently Premier Division VAFA football, playing close to 250 games in that period. Following this he moved to Fitzroy FC, where he continued to play Premier C/Division Seniors and coached the reserves team from 2007-2008. He arrives to us in 2015 following a stint as Coach of Whitefriars and the Donvale Football Club.

So hitting the fast forward button to 2015, do you two learned men who are well connected to OC think they will stay up this year?
Hi Les, the Willy CYMS v PEGS game is crucial this week. My very close friends at PEGS, of whom I know none, didn't really fire a shot last week. On the other hand, The Wellers have had some more than competitive games, ie Old Ivanhoe. My gut feel is Willy and PEGS go down and The OC survive.

Not at all Brian.

Discussions re: coaching focused on coaching experience/philosophies, desired game strategies, effective communication, approaches to educating and developing players, use of technology in teaching (which we do a lot in Monday recovery from 5.45 to 8.30, hence I missed last night's BF shenanigans and your very kind SMS messages), and managing club/committee expectations.

Seemed we were on the same page in all those areas, and I have found the club to be a great fit for me.

My bio was generated by one of our IT/AV guys who reduced a far larger run down to what he thought was relevant (hence no reference Old Camberwell coaching). If you think it is misleading, by all means alert the club and I'm sure they will treat your approach with the appropriate level of attention it merits.

Given everyone in our coaching staff of 8 have played reserve grade football at some time and at some level, it hasn't appeared to have been an issue or impediment to being an effective coach of elite players.

Seriously all we need to know is whether Brooke is on with Scribe and is Ridge trying to have Brian's love child, then I can sleep tonight.

It's more like an episode of Revenge Max. Anyhow, I've said my piece. Thanks for indulging me.

As you would have said many times on a Saturday afternoon.... "Play on!" :D:cool:

Are they the same IT/AV guys that said Tabakman was closer to being picked up by an AFL club

Oh I must, I must (Blazing Saddles reference)

Yes we are paying Carl Groth $750 a game, I thought for once we would be honest about it. Worth every cent. Best money can buy.

Yes with Bannister in and Murphy out you would have won by 10 goals.

But

(please feel free to add your own thoughts/comments)

Old Ivanhoe 16.15:111 defeated Therry Penola 11.10:76

PS Murphy has played more games for OI than Box Hill
PPS Bannister is out for another 2 weeks with Calf injury (must be getting old)

That was the game I had in the goals on the weekend.

Murphy looks far too good for this level.

$750 a game won't get him a full head of hair. Might need the KB combover.

PS: Clearly you're not a doctor. Info well off.

Round 08.

Williamstown vs PEGS
Old Ivanhoe vs Marcellin
Peninsula vs Therry Penola
Old Haileybury vs Old Camberwell
Oakleigh vs Monash Blues

Marcellin has only got itself to blame with inaccurate kicking by the looks of it.
The Pirates vs Therry Penola game was anyone's until the first bounce. An absolute canter.
Now I'm off to my 40th reunion dinner at the school. Should be interesting!

According to some, we have always paid.

Yes those two, plus many other would be real jilted.

Williamstown
Ivanhoe
Peninsula
Haileybury
Monash

Cheers
Good win today Max. That brave mark at the end by the loose bloke was a ripper. Both sides heavily undermanned but turned out to be awesome

Woulda been a shame if that stupid call decided the game, lucky we scored on the kick out, big unit that 6

Who was the old bald Ivanhoe support who decided to run off in the middle of the marcellin players huddle at half time sledging them?

Yes plenty of blokes unavailable for both sides.

I'm not the old or bald, and some say I can't run. Ha Ha. Sounds like a nuffy we don't need at the club.

Unfortunately due prior commitments I couldn't make it. Hope the replay reflects how good the game was.

Thank god for this weeks break.
