I think Jmac must be fit and we need him , be bloody surprised if he is sub. If there is doubt then just bring Adams back imo.

I think sub will be Campbell most likely
Jmac’s transition work is without peer.

Even if he was out, I’d go Cleary ahead of Adams.

I just don't know if that will hold up in finals, but we'll see. As you said the talent is all there.

If it doesn't we may need to make some hard list changes .

I'm not questioning his fitness, it's his knee coping with a huge physical tough final when he hasn't had much one on one contact over the past 7-8 weeks that I'm worried about. Don't forget this club passed Reid OK to play in a grand final!!!! Go swans

I'd rather start Jmac and then if he is going to shit sub him off for a Campbell

Adams dropped is a big call. On form I probably agree with it, but in a big final I do think someone like him would come in handy. Especially if the game gets tough and contested. Not sure I have a lot of faith in some of our other guys in a similar role in being better in a big final.

That said, if there's one side you want pace + skill against, it's GWS.

Huge punt taking in two players who haven’t played in 8 weeks for McInerney and Papley just shy of 7 weeks.

Papley would be in our best 5 players and McInerney would be top ten.

Decision had to be done, plus both have been training for quite some time.

There haven't been many opportunities for us over the years to have an absolutely certain best 23 going into finals, let alone this much competition for spots.

Fox, Adams, Clearly and even Ladhams would be getting games in a lot of other teams this weekend.

Given the double chance, uncertainty about the 3 GWS players returning and runs on the board by those swans returning I don’t have an issue with the selection, certainly not to the level of Reid being picked for the 22 GF.

I think the positive reality is that we are running close to full strength going into a finals series and thus there is no excuses for players who don’t perform. There are players ready and hungry to take their place. That’s a really good thing!

I don't think size is as huge for us as some of think it is.

Heeney, Rowbottom, Mills, Parker can all play big in midfield, McInerney is great in the contest and a big body, we have Grundy who almost operates as another midfielder, lastly both Warner and Gulden have played inside before.

We have depth there.

It's actually one of the best balanced Swans sides I have ever seen.

Nice flow. Good vibes. Good selections.

Thanks Horse. I just want to give you a bit of an insight into the Saturday afternoon team. We’re a bunch of unique individuals – Jmac, Heeney ,Mccartin, Papley and myself. We’re gonna engage with our minds and our hearts. We’re gonna exchange ideas, thoughts and even our energy. And to speak from your heart you need to have courage. You need to be honest and authentic. We’re not always gonna get it right. And sometimes, you’re not going to agree with us. But that’s okay, because just like you we care. Just like you, we’re passionate about the game. So if you want to come along for the ride, join us on Saturday arvo, because we just love the footy.

I think I may shoot myself.

If it doesn't we may need to make some hard list changes .
Well, we did that last year when we went after a hard, experienced, contested player in Adams, and we've now deemed him not good enough because we have a fairly large cohort of flanker/outside types whose main strengths are not winning hard balls or sticking tackles.

Again, not saying I disagree with it, but we've made it very clear where our focus as a team lies, we now have to live or die by it. If we die by it, then it will be Horse who has to make some tactical changes, more so than list changes, to re-wire the team back around hardness.

Absolutely, last years final we certainly needed an Adams type.

Lot of pressure on Heeney and Grundy saturday

Sorry, disagree. Adams is out because of Parkers form.

Parker can do everything Adams can, plus take a mark, plus face down bigger opponents, plus drive the team on, plus humiliate weaker oppo players.

Fingers x’d he stays fit for the campaign - there is only one Luke Parker, as old as he is.
If true that Horse & co were picking between Adams and Parker, doesn't that just prove my point? That they seem to have a limit for how many hard nuts they are willing to play, but not outside types, which shows where their focus for the team is?
