What's the go this year with free replays? In the past I've used "Smart Replay" on the AFL website, but that doesn't seem to be an option this year.

from memory, they don't do those for the warmup games. should be there for season proper. :thumbsu:

Just wondering when the tickets go on sale for round one? I'm an interstate member which doesn't do me much good as it's an Essendon home game. One of the people I'm going with is an 11 game general admission Essendon member. I'm assuming it will be a ticketed event, would I just obtain tickets through the Essendon member?

Reckon that is your best bet
PS - make sure you have a good shower after the game

Priority 2 membership.. do they regularly get Grand Final tickets or is it a waste of money?

do you mean Silver Membership? I upgraded mine to Silver Interstate about 5 years ago, I've been in the ballot for 2 GF's and been to both. To me yes it is worth it. $20 a month I dont even notice the cost.

Mmm yeah, considering it. Just seems like a waste, you don't really get any benefits apart from the P2

All memberships are a waste if you live interstate. I'm essentially paying nearly $500 for one guaranteed ticket and a few trinkets with the logo on it.

I first got my interstate membership back in 1996. Didn't think it was a waste of money then, dont think its a waste now. YMMV.

I was successful in 3 of the 4 since 2012 as P2. Always got lowest grade seating which was back half of level 4 bays.

Oh please, take the rose coloured glasses off. People are paying $200+ plus for a $25 ticket (sometimes up the back of the 3rd level), a couple of stickers, a $10 scarf, a ticket lanyard and a fridge magnet.

It doesn't make you any less of a fan to be able to state that it's a waste of money if the club doesn't make the GF.

You're paying 10x the cost simply to be able to be in a certain or strong position of a GF ticket. Every club knows this and every club exploits its fans knowing they'll pay for it regardless.

But then again, there are some people in this world who think anything with a Hawthorn link to it isn't a waste of money because they don't have any other hobbies in this world and are so desperate to gain the approval and/or admiration of others. You'll of course disagree with this.

Is it really a matter of value for money? I would think that is an opportunity to show support for your club. What you get for it are simply perks of being a member - GF ticket, gameday entry, scarf to wear at said events etc. No one in their right mind would ever try to convince you that what you get for it is actually worth it dollar for dollar. But what price being able to say you are a member who supports this great club?

A membership doesn't quantify one a supporter or not. Not unless you stipulate supporter as being used in a literal sense. You can spend $0 and still be a supporter of the club.

You go to a game feat. Hawthorn and you cannot tell if they're a member or not. The closest thing is if they wear that tacky lanyard around their necks after they're in the ground, but even then you have no idea if the membership is theirs or someone else's.

I buy a membership every year, and I couldn't care less if I don't get value for money
Due to work/family I only get to 3 or so games a year

My family membership gets renewed every year. My last live game was versus Melbourne in 2008.
My daughter who is 10 has never been to see a game of football.

.......But you try and tell the young people today that... and they won't believe ya'. :thumbsu:

My membership is me supporting the club I love financially. Anything else is an added bonus.

Quick question - the famous M10 crew - where do they reside exactly? In the standing area or somewhere in the stand itself?
