On paper, the forward line is ghastly.

Rozee running around in circles, Robbie running on fumes, Finlayson a giant question mark, Marshall doing whatever the hell he does. Georgiades or bust really.

The terrifying thing is that it'll probably look worse in real life.
So true.
We'll either kick 4 goals for the game or somehow flukily unlock the secret to finding space against an excellent defensive unit and surprise ourselves.

Brisbane has an exceptional backline - Andrews, Gardner, Adams, Rich, Starcevich. If we can kick 12 plus goals against that group, then something has worked unexpectedly well for us.

Stolen from the Brisbane board:

"For people interstate
Weather fine no rain or showers predicted
The predicted game time temperature being 24 at the start down to 22 degrees by the end
Ideal conditions for players and fans"
With Chad saying DBJ on Cameron, he might genuinely kick 5 by half time in those conditions

We saw it in the trial game. All that'll happen is our painful first halves will become even more painful. When the game opens up we'll kick a few goals, maybe.

Let's ****ing gooooo.

Get behind the boys, not the coach, and let's grab this win. Won't be easy Brisbane at home I don't like our chances but I'm too excited for footy to be back and Port playing their first game.

Why am I not surprised that your football knowledge is so piddly that you don't even know who Brisbane's ruck is?
Football rucking lesson 2
the first ruckman of each team is typically the tallest and heaviest of the players. Other players in the team like when they have a physical presence on the ground.

Looking at the last 2 times we played Brisbane in 2020 gabba lost 37 points, last year gabba lost 49 points.
Just realised on both occasions due to covid we had to fly up the day of the game which I think is a big disadvantage. It's hard enough flying to Melbourne on game day which is a shorter distance.
No such problem this time I think this might be closer than we think
