Was just thinking the same thing. Crows beat us in 2012 at scg, 2009 at football park can't think of any other losses whilst Dangerfield there. Im sure there's probably others.

Id rather play him than Burgoyne!

3 wins

08 i think too or 09 whenever we rushed hall back from "suspension"

Foote, Robinson, Naismith, never ever again. Even before Naismith was injured he was getting smoked. He's a joke and those who rate him need to get their blinkers off.

If you drop naismith who is rucking? Tippett alone?

Thought he was killing McEvoy in the ruck contests although McEvoy was doing alright around the ground.

I was in on the Greek island of Zante that day, i can guarantee you that everyone on that island had heard the name Gary Rohan by the end of it.

Magical day, and I know was yonks ago, but proud day

Geelong are touched.

Our best mid will miss, their best mid will get off from the MRP and still get 8-9 frees in the game

Has this actually happened?
I missed it.
Don't worry about it. We were closer to the Hawks than people think with an injured Kennedy & Naismith. Selection on the run it was.

We'll take care of the Cats.

Naismith had McEvoy covered in the ruck, just couldn't run as hard. He's far from terrible.

Yeah but rucking is half of it, McEvoy can't jump so not surprising he was winning in the air but not really giving is clean use. Naismith just vies us absolutely nothing on ground and his opponent is at times smashing him in his department.

Actually I said earlier in the match that he needs to learn to spoil. Watching grimes kill him in the air against the tigers earlier in the season wasnt great either.

In the ruck he is good. Around the ground in ruck contests he isnt too bad. But he is completely non threatening in the air either going forward or defending.

Lets put it this way. Towers should have brought the ball to ground in two contests where he was outmarked. On both occasions he just wasnt strong enough to push back hard.

Exactly the same thing can be said about naismith. He needs to bring the ball to ground. Unfortunately what often happens is that he loses his feet and his opponent is left standing liking a goliath with the ball in both hands. It is pretty disheatening for the team when you see that.

That's exactly what happens. Somebody that watches the game from a simple compete & do the basics well point of view. Kudos.

Many players should have done plenty of things. There are games throughout the season where the stars don't align. Unfortunately it has happened twice against the Hawks. Unlike previous seasons when they were dominant, we had their measure but a few things went wrong health wise on each occasion & it was a benefit to them. Now some people will say they lost Hardwick for the second half but he would have been the 22nd player picked for that team,. How much would we beat them by if Burgoyne goes off in the first minute & misses the remainder of the match as Lloyd did in the first encounter?
Thems the breaks.
Shooda cooda wooda!

Unmitigated bullshit re- Naismith.

McEvoy - 8 marks (Naismith injured).

Prior to that.

Longer St Kilda 1.
Mumford GWS 0.
Witts GC 4. (1 contested).
Gawn Melb 5 (3 contested).

If anything, McEvoy's performance shows just how important Naismith is.
Watts is the only one of that lot that I think has outplayed Naismith, until he got injured on Friday that is.

Has Dangerfield ever been dominant against us? I am a few beers down after sitting through wce and lions but i can't remember a real dominant display in the last 10 years.
Danger and Selwood tore us apart in the prelim final last year, unfortunately for the Cats they were the only players who turned up that night. Danger was also their best players against us in round 16 but again we got ontop of their other 21 players.

Yep just checked it up, 73 disposals against us in 2 games last year. Another great call from me, maybe i shouldn't drink and post at the same time.
