Is there a more punchable trio than Butters, Rozee and JHF? **** I hate them, especially that rat Butters

Butters definitely but I don't have that same hate to Rozee and JHF - they're both just really good players

Butters is an utter flog

He would have 100% teased kids at school

Of course we can. We've handed out quite a few bans since the game ended
Thank you kindly really appreciate your work on here, always have. :thumbsu:

Please note my frustration was never at all directed at you or the mods, but rather f**kwit neighbours that think they can passively troll by liking posts.

I encourage all posters on here to report their post if Port posters are passive trolling by liking them.

Hes a small forward who’s going to end on at least 30 goals in his 3rd year. Up from 23 last year. 3 goalless games vs 7 last year. Hard to say he’s not improved.

All that looks ok. It’s the squibbing and cockiness that is the problem.
Yeah agree goals look very reasonable (but admittedly from better conversion as less shots at goal overall in the same amt of games and thats without considering his much heavier playing mid first 8 or so rounds last year). In fairness, his multiple goal games have been against good oppo (not kicking bags like Tex did last yr vs Weagles twice). 3 goals x 3 games all against semi/good decent oppo away (Suns round 1, Cats at Cattery and Dons the other week) and 2 goals vs GWS, Bullies at home and against Pies and Blues away.

Its more the amount of quiet games where we would say he has had little impact on the game. I dont do any of the 'Fantasy Points' etc but would have thought at least half the games this year has been quiet/very ave but also agree its a hard position to play and also wonder why Nicks hasnt played him more mid as he was looking like such an exciting prospect early last year

I dont mind the cockiness / goal celebrations ('show me the money' was actually relating to a kid in the Cats crowd offering to pay him $4 per goal he kicked that game so not quite as arrogant as it may look - and no he didnt take the kids money haha). But agree re squibbing - definitely needs to get better as his oppo players will use that to go extra hard at him if deemed a weakness

Completely disagree

What Port fans don't get is that them being flogs that the AFL world despises won't change through winning.

Reserving any criticism of them and holding back on mocking them only for when they lose reinforces that winning improves their image and makes them immune. It doesn't. They are a flog club whether they win or lose.

The fact that this moment is living in the heads of Port fans rent free despite their victory is exactly why it was a good move. Because deep down his comments were genuinely hurtful and not something that can be healed through a win
Perfectly summed up.

He didn't do "We're gonna beat ya! We're better!"

Lots of posts last night on the socials like "Who's laughing now?"

Well, still us. It's still funny. Our position on the ladder couldn't change, Dan Houston will never play for Port again, you put so much energy into beating a bottom 4 team, and your supporters still have no teeth. He wasn't proved wrong. Even the shots of Wines showing his head full of like 100 teeth. He didn't say you had no teeth.

I guarantee that sledge will live on in their small brains for years.

Yeah, I don't think that contest was that bad. The issue was not picking the ball up.

I think his aim was to one grab the ball and move out quick. Not shirk the physical contact.

But being a non entity in the second half is an issue.

He was pick 6, by now he should be able to control games. Be the difference.

He can't.

Last night he needed to stand up after trolling their supporters. He didn't and now looks stupid.

There is a mental softness there.

It is not coaching either. Sog has gone ahead of him.
He has his issues for sure but I was addressing him being rattled by boos etc.
He also plays in a tough spot to "back up" his talk with some kind of game dominance.

Some going on about only 10 disposals etc, he's playing small forward in a team not going well and especially after half time.

Maybe Filthy and Fog etc were pathetic too last night? Or maybe our midfield is a nuclear wasteland.

Rash is just hot and cold with performance and attitude at times. He does this in other games when he's not getting booed.

That's what needs to improve but he's young so hopefully maturity improves things but we don't know yet.

As JHF rises and starts taking the media kudos and Brownlow votes (plus cap space) from Butters he will leave Port.

JHF will be the best ever South Australian AFL era player. Not a popular opinion here, but he is one of my favourite non Crows players.

Pick 6 on a soft Small Forward when we need mids.

I don't think Rachele will ever be a mid. Not physically or mentally tough enough for that.

Meanwhile Port built a very good midfield during our rebuild period.

Thanks Hamish
He may have moments in the midfield but he will never be a full-time midfielder. He's not tough enough.

2018 to 2021 - 4 drafts, 8 top 25 draft picks. One A grader (RT), another first choice 22 (Rachele) and 6 busts (McHenry, Jones, Schoen, McAsey, Cooke, Pedlar). Hard to believe Ogilvie is still employed and on a six-figure salary.

Missed the game, don't need to watch replay. It's obvious where ww got smashed, they had Butters, Rozzee, Wines and JHF, we had Crouch, Berry, Dawson and Soligo.

We simply don't have the players that can go head to with those guys. Crouch versus Wines is fine but Soligo can't match Butters.

Would of preferred Nick's to put Dawson on JHF and go with him forward and middle as he has the strength and speed. Would prefer Nick's to bring in Jones and tell him to tag and smash Butters with every opportunity.

Of course he did nothing and prayed that Crouch or Soligo would nullify.

And if our players are going to respond in a nothing season I wished they made it could by properly going after that sniper Butters and making him hurt

Luko is not what we need. Why waste the draft picks and salary cup.
He has elite traits and is flexible from wing/connector role/3rd tall forward. We must have HUGE spare $$ and am confident longer term we 'smooth' his contract out to be a better reflection of worth. Its what we give up - if only a second rounder its a no brainer IMO. We need to add depth and first 22 players - which both ANB and Luko would clearly be top 15 in our team IMO - possibly top 10 even - which are decent additions.

Add an elite mid and we arent that far off things but do need better coaching, more close game wins, less injuries to key players and a few extra 'missing' pieces. But ANB, Luko and Draper (for example) makes us a better team already next year. And ideally Pedlar pulls his finger out after his disastrous year.

Deep down they know that the majority of their supporter base is feral, uneducated and of a very low socio economic background.

A Power home game is an embarrassing indictment on the state of South Australia when you see all them congregate together when witnessed on TV. I dont say that about many Clubs either.

Rachele giving it to Port fans had no impact on their ability to beat us. They didn't suddenly come out firing after his jab and if anything started the game flat after he put them on blast in the media.

We lost because we lacked on field leadership after Port sniped our best player and they used that, not Rachele's trolling, as motivation for the win.

Rachele, or any of our players, shouldn't be scared of giving it to Port fans because we might lose.

There's so much talk of Rachele playing soft and squibbing yet people want him to quiet down on his true thoughts about Port fans. I tell you what, being a timid loser that's scared of giving it to Port because we might not win is squibbing it
There’s also not a single port supporter this morning reflecting on his comments and feeling bad despite the win.

They won, they don’t care, and if anything his antics would have made it sweeter.

It is a no win move.

The difference is pace, Butters, Rozee and JHF all have it and all our midfielders don’t. That’s why I hope we get Draper who has express pace. That including the Fumbles was the difference at the end of the game.

Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com
Yes, lack of mids' pace, the fumbles too.
The Crows didn't play the conditions eg tap-on, soccer-on chaos-ball well enough.

Oh and the fact they sniped our quickest player  :madv1:.

Few Port people I know say they're embarrassed of the majority of their own supporters and know they're filth, they just got into supporting Port young so that's who they happen to support.

Pick 4 better be the second coming of Bont, or we are still no better.

We are still years away from finals! When Tex goes we will be bad again
I'm not as doom and gloom as this, lots of development and recruiting hopefully still to come, but yeah there are serious weak spots in the list still
