He’s had one game out of the box against the bulldogs, other than that he’s been trash.
He shows zero football nous and that’s not something that can be improved.

I thought Jones improved a fair bit in the second half of last year.
He was pretty average yesterday but we had plenty of players in the same boat.
I hope he steps it up a bit for the rest of the year.
He needs to be offering a lot more offensively from that position.

28.1k yesterday

Pretty disappointing crowd, but there's quite a few people out there who are still nervous about COVID and are staying home.

A girl I used to work with has still been buying her membership, but she has only gone to 1 or 2 games since 2019.
I think it's a variety of factors. Some people uncomfortable with COVID, some people hate wearing masks, other stuff going on with Fringe etc, that Sunday twilight (at least it'll be twilight once daylight savings ends) time slot is usually a graveyard anyway, etc etc.

The weirdest thing I saw was people getting up and leaving when there was 1 goal in it with less than 10 minutes to play. I can't imagine how desperate you would have to be to get a seat on the bus to be walking out of a footy match at that point.

Pretty amazing that Rachele has kicked 11 goals in 12 quarters of footy at this level (including the trial games).

There's something different about him that's for sure. A hunger and focus for the goals, mixed with the skill and confidence to go for anything in front of him that sets him apart. So much so that I genuinely don't think that bag was a fluke, but more a sign of things to come... Often!

Haven't seen it in many Crows players over the years, Tony Modra and Andrew McLeod both had it in spades, Peak Eddie was another (although he gave away a lot towards the end). Can't say i've seen too many others though.

Plenty of two day cricket finals on last weekend too

Ben Keays forward delivery is terrible.

First half at least 4 I50s went wide or too shallow for the leading forward.

I would put Rowe or Scholl in his spot in the midfield rotation. Both better kicks.

Rachele, wowee

And what of those game high 12 score involvements and game high 615 metres gained of Benny's?

Was better in the great second half. But when the game started was shocking

Metres gained, meh. Is a 50m kick to dead space better than a 20m kick to a chest? Especially for a guy kicking into 50.

What was with ROB running out of steam in the last? He could hardly run at all. We started getting smashed in the middle when he came off the ground with about 8 mins remaining.
I can never understand him wasting his energy taking ruckwork in the forward line, when we have Thilthorpe and Himmelberg there. He should be a kick behind the play, waiting for an intercept mark.

Rachelle was fantastic. congratulations.
When is can he move clubs????

By my maths, he should be available in 2036 for a move.

It was his lift in the middle half of the game that took control back in the midfield. I'm not surprised he was out of gas.

Why was Himmelberg even in the side over Gollant when we chose to use Thilthorpe as second ruck?

Said the same thing after the game, absolutely no need to play EH if he isn't second ruck.

He extended until 2025. There won't be enough first round picks for Adelaide to let him walk.
I was just kidding, you got a great kid.
I was impressed with him when he interviewed after the draft.

However.....Patrick Dangerfield.

Round 1 after a preseason riddled with covid and this board wants to write off half the squad forever
So… we’re just meant to completely forget last year and the year before even happened?..

The issues and deficiencies that most here are highlighting havent magically appeared overnight. We’ve had the same midfield issues for a while now.

Im very happy to accept mistakes, some garbage decisions and some poor performances during games from young players.. but not from our older more experienced lads..
