Fizz was very good for us early 2005, but has gone backwards ever since. He was excellent in the prelim 2005 (only player still having a crack in last qtr), but that has been the only time he's really stood up when we've needed him. This year he started off very poorly, but is slowly getting some form back. If he doesn't contribute in the next couple of weeks he'll probably lose his spot to a R.Clarke or Gwilt.

I agree re the prelim.:thumbsu:

I do and everytime he gets the footy he plays on, and 8 times out of 10, he screws up, he is stupid, useless and crap
GT should be ashamed of himself, and fire his own ass out of a cannon :thumbsu:

Brilliant post. FFS:rolleyes:

It's the Elimination Final 2006. There's 30 seconds left on the clock. The Saints are 4 points behind the Bulldogs and it's a ball up on the Saints half forward line 65 metres out from goal.

The umpire bounces the ball and it goes at right angles straight to Aaron Fiora. Looking instantly panicked he spins in an arc looking to dish the ball off. There's options all around but he seemingly can't see them. He could even run 15 metres and kick a goal if he had the nerve!

Instead he instinctivley steps sideways 2 metres, bounces the ball, and as if frozen in the spotlight doesn't see Robbins and gets nailed in the tackle. The ball spills to the Bulldogs and the clock runs down.

The story of Aaron Fiora.

Nothing special but we didn't pay much for him.
Just there for depth really not in my top 22.

I always love it how some supporters justify a crap player by saying "we didn't pay much for him".

Yes you did - that spot could have gone to someone else better. Every stuff up that player makes adds up to losses, supporters frustrations, lower memberships, shattered dreams, hope for the future.

Think about it, it's all a chain reaction. I bet Neale Craig would understand.

Just because your fans are peaheart bandwagon jumpers don't transfer that **** to us. Absolute rubbish - nice fancy writing but absolute crap. Ripped up your membership yet? Got one?

And Gram baggers - 3 goals in the first half from HBF and about 3 direct goal assists plus has been doing his job defensively. Terrible young player.....

Oh When the Saints said:
Fiora played 57/66 games at the Tigers from '02-'04 = that's 86%. I would certainly call that 'getting a regular game' ...

I would agree that Fiora lacks hardness - but that is not his role. He played some excellent footy for the Saints early in 2005, averaging 20+ touches and a goal a game. He has not been able to find that form this year, but does have ability.
He is living on borrowed time ... will not be given much longer to prove himself this year.

As for one J. Gram, let me show you some stats:
He averages 20.5 disposals per match in 2006.
He averages nearly 2 tackles per match, not bad for a running half-back.
He is ranked #11 in the competition for rebound 50's.
He is ranked #1 in the competition for total bounces
He is ranked #8 in the competition for long kicks per game.
He has played just 25 games of AFL footy ... he has been asked to step into the shoes of 2-time All Australian half-back Aussie Jones ... and I would say he's doing a bloody good job!
Just a couple of notes knob jockey.
Firstly, I said Gram was a good player.
Secondly, Fiora started playing in 2000 so make that 57 games from 110.
Well done today though, too good.
Just check your facts mate before making a fool of yourself

Fiora did start playing in 2000, but your ORIGINAL POINT was that he COULDN'T GET A GAME IN A WOODEN SPOON SIDE.
Richmond were a finals/Prelim/top4 side in 2001 ... therefore, I counted from the point when Richmond was crap. That was from 2002. Therefore my facts are correct.
