Most recent injury report pre-Swans game suggests he'll be ok this week:

Give him a month in the two's our season is on a knife's edge we can't carry passengers looking to get match fit over the next 4 weeks then re assess what's best for the club and Cam.

As would I, but let’s face it - there’s no chance in hell Mullin is dropped from the team.
He’s shown glimpses but people carry on like he’s something amazing.
I remember when Tuohy compared him to Nick Daicos…..
He said he was the nick daicos of Gaelic footy.

But let’s not let the truth get in the way of a good story

How long can we keep flogging Blicavs because others can't or won't stand up and still expect him to perform week in week out, if anything in an ideal world we'd be looking at reducing his work load. But what choice have we? diabolical list management in the ruck department has cost us this season and will continue to do so.
Blicavs hasn't played well all year. His numbers have dived and his engine is firing on half a cylinder. I think the best position is back pocket where he can just worry about beating his opponent. He is being slaughtered every time he goes into the ruck and he is too slow now to play on a wing or in the midfield.

Blitz has suffered from an interrupted pre-season. Additionally he is clearly carrying an injury and also is being asked to sacrifice his own game to plug holes here there and everywhere.

Back him to return to his best at the tail end of the season; both he and the club have been in this situation with him before.

Clearly?

If Blicavs is carrying an injury and is barely performing week after week, why is he playing? I can understand we need a backup ruckman but currently Blicavs is no contest for a real ruckman. I'd rather we play Conway and Stanley than Blicavs who doesn't do much more around the ground.

In 2022 he was averaging 18 disposals and 15 hit outs per game.
This year he is averaging 14 disposals and 8 hit outs per game.
Those stats only tell part of the story. The quality of his disposals is way down this year.

What is the injury he is carrying?

Dangerfield having some fun with the media, telling them he'll wait until the weekly medical update tomorrow to know if he's a chance to play this weekend 🤣

He'd better play! I couldn't stand watching him in the spectator box again, with his face set like the perennial actor that says I Could Have Done It Better. ;)

He’s been kicking on his left foot for a few years now.
Yep, but he looks to go onto his opposite foot from a mark or free kick now... he isn't that good a kick to do that, he is carrying something pretty obviously IMO

We need some more pressure in our forward line, we have 1 player in the top 50 for tackles inside forward 50 #49 Brad Close. The top 2 sides have 4 players and 5 players in the top 50. It creates more opportunities its not easy getting it in there so we need to lock it in.

Seems unlikely with our current set-up outside Close and Rohan (who won't do much if he's sub more times than not).

Hawkins = forget about it.

Cameron = not that kind of player either and often up the ground.

Stengle = not a super-high pressure player but occasionally bobs up and anyway, more than contributes in the most important way.

Miers = maybe a little but also often up the ground (I think he's a better link player than SF anyway).

Ollie H = hasn't demonstrated much of this to date, but wouldn't hurt for him to develop his pressure/tackling a little.

Ollie D = could also add this to his game but isn't much of a stay-at-home forward, often gets disposals up the ground.

Honestly, I think our F50 delivery is a bigger issue. Cost us the game vs Giants and the fact we've been competitive with the "bomb to players who can barely compete in a pack, let alone take contested marks" strategy maybe even disguises just how bad it's been.

Maybe we need to have someone in there whose main focus is that?
Move someone to an attacking wing and have a forward with intentions to pressure, set the tone.

Beat blues with great efficiency going forward last time. That has changed unfortunately….. not sure who their cooler on Stewart will be , but doubt we will flow it out of our D50 as easily as the last encounter…. Top 4 on the line this week….2 games behind a handful of teams is not a strong position coming off a 1-6 record! Let’s rise to the occasion cats!

I'm going to say this forever until it happens or he comes good.
J Henry must be dropped.

He is stuffing up the whole backline.
Gets sucked up the ground, has no impact at the contest, and then the whole backline is out of position.
He's had a crap 18 months or so.

J Henry out, Holmes back to 1/2 back. Even though he's been excellent in the middle this year. We just need the run.

Really ? I thought he was pretty good the other week

I’m far more concerned about SDK he is going backwards every year now

His left foot usage used to be more an instinctive thing

Now it's becoming more of the default
I would say he has a chronic injury and has had one for years. Perhaps it has got worse of late but from my observation he’s hardly kicked on his right foot for the past few years.

Of course he may also have another injury that’s impeding him. He has definitely been below his best.

Which leg was injured/broken in the tackle by Sloane a few years back?
