Totally agree with the first part. We should only ever wear the dark navy and white CFC.
If Collingwobbles can get away with it, why not us? If these artificial teams clash with us, then let them reach back into their few months of tradition and wear whatever rubbish they want. We have played the saints for over 130 years (even when they wore red yellow and black and we had a chamois shoulder patch) and it has never been a problem of clash strip in the past.
It's all artificial marketing BS. Pride and tradition trump some hipster marketing genius.

Good to see SPS have a good game. He was one player I didn’t think deserved a lot of the criticism and doubting he was getting.
I think it’s a pretty tough gig basically being asked to be a key midfield contributor in your second year when you’ve had two limited pre-seasons and your team’s midfield is really struggling.
Saw more than enough last year to know that he’s going to be a really good player. Has the ability to tear a game apart with his silky skills and ability to find time and space under pressure. Reminds me of Pendlebury in that regard.

Do that for just one quarter each game and theres a few wins straight off , do it for two and your looking seriously a good side....that famous premiership 3rd quarter was so often a response to ordinary first halves..on the other hand one time at Princes Park we kicked around 14 in a quater and a half before Sth Melbourne scored from memory..after that we stopped in comparison..the contest evened so to speak. The point being its basically ridiculous to expect 4 quarters of menacing perfection. It makes us not so far away.

Just finished watching a replay and haven't read the rest of the board. Apologies at everyone who committed their time to commenting. I have wavered between "Wow look how good we have this" and "It's just the clash of the bottom teams and we still have so much to do."
I think I have found a happy medium: loads of talent but still a need to change some things up. I'd like to use the first draft pick on Walsh and see what we can do with trading the second rounders for some mature bodies and trusting SOS to weave some magic to find an outside jet or two.
Loved the intensity and accountability of the defensive effort last night. Players kept turning up and we created time to use the ball well with slick hands and purpose. The names are the same from post to review, love them all and see the faith that Soapy and the like have. I've tried not to waver, have from time to time, looking forward to more positive results this season and beyond!

Collingwoods clash strip is totally opposite to their home strip.

Just think they’ve got a good fitness department and doctors who know what they’re doing.
You have to remember the club basically had a serious look at things after a backwards 2016. They gave up playing the rubbish kick the ball in circles like they did back then and started playing/recruiting blokes who can run and chase all day. I’m sure they probably changed some training stuff too.
Hopefully our blokes can start getting through multiple seasons unscathed. Think it will happen once the youngsters get fitter and stronger and better understand how to keep themselves in great shape all the time.

The flipside is that even though you guys have a lot of work to do, you have the pieces on the board so to speak.
The biggest problem you guys will have in 3-4 seasons is how to fit everyone under the cap. (that is not a joke)
