When I lived in Melbourne, I was a scarf and beanie guy. Had my Suns gear on in a sea of opposition supporters. Sometimes with a mate or 2, sometimes by myself.
last year i sat in the middle of carlton supporters fully decked out in suns gear. boy did i get some looks when i was celebrating, alot of unhappy people around me

Not a lot of love for Witts on the Carlton board. Seem to think he’s just a massive plodder who’s ‘at best’ going to break even with Casboult should Kreuzer not be right to play.
Predicting another BOG performance on Saturday. Best thing rocket ever did was get this guy to the club.

Yeah saw that had a good chuckle. He's already better than Kreuzer has ever been.

I think alot of people outside of the GC/QLD still think Witts is the plodder struggling to get a game for Collingwood as we haven't really had much of a following in the media over the last year. His output has increased significantly since he arrrived, and just looking at his stats from last year, or even last week show he deserves respect or he will give our midfield first use every time. He looked great around the ground last week as well, and if he has added that to his game then he could genuinely push for top 5 ruckmen in the game (being conservative ;))

It will be interesting to see what happens if Kreuzer is out. Casboult/McKay?? (dont really know who they would bring in) V Witts could give us an advantage in the midfield battle which we are going to need.

Also enjoying that almost no one is tipping us. Everything to gain and little to lose. Carlton board underestimating us big time.

FWIW it's a tough game for us. Confident improved Carlton after a wet slog and two day shorter break but if we pull it off, show fight til the end and that manic pressure/organised play we have I'll be happy.

Was interesting to see North played a side last week that was statistically a year older than ours and had 4 more guys with over 100 games experience.

Off topic mate, but what are your thoughts for the 2 Perth games?

Will we come back with a W? Maybe 2?

Simmo will play his 300th against port in rd 15 (if he plays every game). As far as ive found the only milestone for carlton is 100 games as captain for murphy this weekend.
Ahhh my bad...

I skimmed that milestone men article on AFL.com.au.

Awesome well so far I know that SUNS, Cochblocked and Suns of Anarchy will be behind the posts
I’ll be keeping an eye out to figure out which dudes are you guys
CB-in my mind I have you as maybe in your mid 20s?
SUNS-what vintage are you?
I'm 19 mate, probably the youngest here?

I didn't tip us just because i don't know where we are at. The 2 rain affected matches and the one with a poor Geelong team is hard to gauge also i don't know where Wright and Ah Chee are at the club is very quiet on those two. If team selection looks good i might change.

A lot would have seen him running around in the vfl struggling at Collingwood, I watched plenty of games where he was below par.

They picked up lobbe in the offseason didnt they? He is a handy ruckman still. But witts is in the top 5 ruckman in the comp so he should have the upper hand. Its hard to match a 209cm beast.

According to GCS Ah Chee still in rehab, will put feature about him next week.

I am really surprised that there are a number of Carlton supporters who don't rate Witta. I thought he was one of the better rucks in the comp last year
He was, went a little unnoticed but many are just confident in kreuzer who was unlucky to be pipped by Ryder for AA.

plenty of uninformed posters on all boards. Most of us recognise Witts has been really good for you recently.

Lobbe and phillips are injured so if kreuzer is out we don’t seem to have much.

This is absolutely laughable. Kreuzer was second to Ryder last year and most people had it split anyway. The only reason kreuzer is under appreciated around the league is injury and being played as a forward when we had Warnock running around.

Good luck all. I like the way your team is headed. Love seeing Holman getting another shot.

So tough to call isn't it. Both WA teams are hard to get a read on at the moment. I'd be more confident of beating the Eagles than Freo though personally.

Big game for the Suns a win would give tremendous momentum for the next few weeks.
Concerned with tough conditions from last week and shorter break, but it is early in season so should cope.
Biggest dangers for us will be Cripps, Curnow and Murphy, must restrict their influence for us to win.
Need a big game from Tom Lynch long time since he had a major influence on a game.
Feel Aaron Hall needs to play but not sure who to leave out.
Kreuser out would be a huge plus for us ,he is in career best form and I still place ahead of Witts as an
allround player.
Suns by 10 points(I hope)

Am I the only one thinking Brodie needs to come in and get some game time? It's not like Port have thin stocks as far as inside mids are concerend but they still find space to play SPP each week. Need to get games into him not only to help develop him at AFL level, but to help keep him around when his contract is up. A 'ready made' pick 9 Inside midfielder should not be sitting in the NEAFL for 2 seasons.

No, Witts is not better than Kreuzer. At least not for now, unless Witts repeats performances like against Goldstein last weekend consistently. He was fantastic. All round game, tackling, clearances, marks. He run over Goldstein in the last quarter. Did you watch Witts recently? Witts is still developing his game (25 years, 59 games) but made huge progress last year. Not only tap ruckman like he was at Collingwood. Kreuzer had a fantastic season last year and deserves all credit. I compared Witts numbers with Kreuzer for 2017- Kreuzer better in most but not by much.
