Sure will Shan.I'm sure they will shake hands once it's all over....
I know Derm can be a flog, but he thinks KJ is a forward. Play him there for the next 3 weeks and play Hendo back. See if we can get Hendo to love the footy club again.Hope we keep playing Henderson back and get Jakshchcsh up forward for the rest of the season. Liked the way he attacked the ball in the air. Still don't like the way he pretty much becomes a spectator after a contest has finished though. Needs to have "second effort" drilled into him so he much that he screams it in his sleep.
And you don't believe in giving the guy a chance to redeem himself? He may have ****** up at Carlton but he's clearly learnt from it and now playing much better, more disciplined football, which shows. Sorry, but in this situation I have no time nor respect for the sore loser attitude displayed by Jamison. It was a no brainer, Robbo had a litany of off field indiscretions that simply couldn't be ignored anymore.
He has no one but himself to blame for not being at Carlton anymore, his presence at the club had become very unhealthy for all concerned.
I'm sure Jamo will be de-listed.
I know I'll get howled down by the anti-tankers but genuinely feel we are closer to a flag tonight than we were 3 hours ago.
We need talent. Tonight gives us talent and some bargaining power.
Couldn't give a rats about a loss in a meaningless late season game by a team whose spirit and motivation departed about 6 weeks. Bring on the new coach, some new talent, the off-season and let's start again
Sorry - I know it's not what people want to hear.
yep you are dead right, we need talent and if we keep the tanking strategy going for another 3 years and then wait 5, trade for Judd, we should be able to top out and win a final or two... exciting times ahead...
Sounds like you missed the part where Jamison said the reason he turned away from Robbo and didn't shake his hand was he was disappointed with the result of the game, which is what my post referred to.
I must've missed the part where Robbo poked the eye (eye-gouged?) and whacked the other players as well ...
He really should be at a club where his talents are better used. Would Austin and Russell do it?I know I made a thread already about it. But heck me Cripps can play !!

But they get it. It's sportsmanship on a public stage.I have less time and respect for the behaviour of Robbo whacking Jammo and poking his eye in what appeared very similar to an eye-gouge... Yarran didn't deserve a handshake after hitting Chapman, Hodge didn't deserve any respect after hitting Swallow, ditto Lewis with Goldstein ... Likewise, Robbo doesn't desere any respect from Jammo

Can we put it to bed? It's really not that big of a deal
Have seen this photo and Robbo should go for an eye gouge. There's a pic that looks like Robinson has got his fingers in Jamo's eye
Anyway, my opinion is that you should always shake hands after a game (even my 10 year old godson does this...) and I don't take kindly to being accused of media brainwashing or character assassination as a result of this opinion, but it's not the biggest deal in the world.
Do you think you might accept that other people have a different opinion to yours without dragging out the tired old "high horse" line? What does it even mean, that some people in society feel manners and respect for others are still valid?I think it's basically a non-issue, which is why I'm astounded by what I've read in this thread ... Plenty of people riding high-horses around these traps.
I wouldn't have a clue, I've never seen that game. It's a nice attitude to hold, but in my opinion, it's also a little foolish to keep things so black and white ... If anything, it shows a tolerance to unsportsmanlike behaviour during the match ... I'd prefer players not tolerate off the ball rubbish.
Before my time, but should Southby have shaken Balme's hand after the '73 GF ?
