A very good team effort tonight. Conti starting to get her mojo back, I also thought it was Miller & Greislers best game this season, solid games from Dempsey, Mc Kenzie & Lavey with a solid debut from Luke. Ed had a shocker tonight but you cant question her effort, which probably helped free up Mon & Ellie.

Watching Egan, not many players play like her.
Alotve Mids are trying to burst from stoppage, shark it on the fly or get the ball fwd as quickly as possible with a smash kick.
She holds onto the ball and doesn’t really try and get out of the area often, makes the oppo commit to her and usually it’s more than one just holding it for another step.
She gets caught a lot, 11 FA so far this year.
Goes at just over 50% DE and turned it over 7 times last night so it doesn’t always end up as a completed pass from her but when she does draw another oppo and it’s Conti’s and Egan gets the ball to her, more often than not it ends up with another teammate.
She was really good last night I thought.

Warmed into the game. Weirdly seeing she is crash and bash I’m not sure wet weather suits her. I seemed to make it that little bit easier for her opponents to stop her drive

Wonder whether we might send her back behind the ball. Not nearly having the same impact playing in the midfield.

Nah stick with it. Sure it didn’t work for her last night but she wasn’t that far off. Adds an element to the midfield we don’t have. Crash and bash is not fun for opposing midfielders. Bet Mon and Ellie like it.

I thought they may play her back when she came into the side a couple of weeks back but no and everything seems to be working with Gabby back there so no need to change.

Keep the idea in the back pocket and bring it out when the team needs it.

Yep. Fan here. I know she does get legitimately caught but crickey the umps are quick to blow the whistle on her at times and let other players hold it, throw it, drop it….no whistle.

Yet when Greg gets out in space, esp on a wing she has more composure and a better DE and makes good decisions. She doesn't have the speed to play on the wing though. I once thought Demps was a bit slow for wing but she has definitely improved the last couple seasons in that area.

yeah, i watch her closely as well.
Egan has a great understanding with Conti, she's Robin to Conti's Batman
Egan's always looking for her, I'd guess a lot of times per game
Conti wouldn't be what she is without Egan

yes, when she has space, she uses it pretty well, but I'd say that would be 30% of her game
the other 70% is getting the hard ball at stoppages, it's what she's the best in our side of doing
i've watched her closely and i get what she does and how much it makes our side so much better, because of her 1%ers
no one does it more than Egan
