Screams wogfactor.

Huh?

Silverlock would be first in line for a promotion though, wouldn't he?

I think they're all still behind Reimers, Houli, Atkinson, Prismall, Colyer, Hardingham, Howlett and T Slattery.

But yes, I do think Silverlock would be first in line for promotion.
I also think we shouldn't underestimate John Williams' form at half back.

He's ethnic, you don't get many of them around. For football reasons, he's got a huge body, which is something we generally lack.

But yes, I do think Silverlock would be first in line for promotion.

Williams would have to be behind a few players including Hardingham, Dempsey and Myers (he plays a bit off HB). It sounds like a big of a revelation though, going from trying to take mark of the year to using his leap for something more suitable.

Maybe we could see him earn an elevation at the end of the year if we have limited success with Hardingham?

Jumpin' John "the ghost" "the rig" Williams!
wooooh!!!
Promote him now!

Surely he'd be behind Hardingham & TSlatts for seniors (& hence well behind Dempsey et al) ?

Hence why I mentioned seven listed players and Howlett being ahead of any of the rookies.

My point being, I don't see why Marigliani is the sure pick so many say he is.

Seriously are we going to lose another game cause knights wants to play his special friends. I am warming to his game plan but you cant say we need disposal and pace and promote H Slattery, Dyson, Welsh etc and drop Prismall, Atkinson and Collyer

In Atkinson, Prismall, Hooker and T Slattery/Collyer/Long

Out Slattery, Dyson, Welsh and Lonergan - None of these players will be around when we will challenge for a flag so lets get rid of them now

I've changed my mind.

In: Hooker, Prismall

Out: Lonergan, Dyson

B: Fletcher - Pears - Slattery
HB: McVeigh - Hooker - Hocking
C: Dempsey - Watson - Lovett-Murray
HF: Zaharakis - Gumbleton - Winderlich
F: Davey - Hurley - Jetta
R: Ryder - Welsh - Stanton
IC: Bellchambers - Myers - Melksham - Prismall

The inclusion of Hooker hopefully frees Dempsey to play up on a wing, or at least reduce the impact of his unaccountability. I'm not a Dyson-basher, but didn't look near fit enough last week, Prismall has had a rest, and a kick up the ass, hopefully comes back with purpose. Lonergan has just been average, not really offering much to the team or its balance.

Pears to Roughhead, Hooker to Buddy, Slattery to Rioli, Fletch third man up. Welsh to Hodge. Bellchambers is a lock-in for mine. Allows Ryder to push forward and expose a weak Hawks defence. We weren't able to win the clearances to exploit this last week, but the Hawks are no where near the clearance team the Cats are. I don't want to go in with Ryder locked into playing ruck only, against Skipper AND Renouf. I played with the idea of dropping Bellchambers for T.Slattery, putting more height and defensive capabilities in the back half, and allowing McVeigh to push up into the midfield, but I think I still prefer two rucks in Ryder and Belly.

GO BOMBERS! :thumbsu:

Colyer's pretty much the worst kick out of those you've named.

Dyson's quick and can kick, he's just struggling.

As far as I can tell, our game-plan's a lot more reliant on tackling and contested footy than anything else. If we do that well enough, the rest will just about take care of itself.

Only if Slattery can start 20m goalside of Rioli AND we get a signed agreement from Rioli that he will only run in a straight line directly at Slattery. Slattery may be dependable, hit the target with his short passing out of the backline, be Knights' lovechild etc but he gets turned inside out by the quick small forwards all the time.

Take a chance - put Atkinson on Rioli and let's just have all out attack!
