The most frustrating thing is the ease of that transition at the end. Appears all our players were expecting a goal by Jones and didn’t set up properly. Amateur hour.

Nah. Was basically in Daicos' pocket after QT and really quelled him. Had a couple of bad kicks but was his best game for the year.Snelling slipping under the radar here. One of Collingwood's best today
He is super panicky with ball in hand. He has been back 5 weeks now and he really should be up to the speed of the game by nowNah. Was basically in Daicos' pocket after QT and really quelled him. Had a couple of bad kicks but was his best game for the year.
1. Yep, fair enoughRutten needs to,
- Implement a proper defensive structure which stops the easy end to end transitions. It's way too consistent with us. We can't keep relying on kicking enough goals to win it - that doesn't hold up in finals.
- Stop with the Ham experiment. ENOUGH ALREADY.
- Send Heppell on his way with a proper farewell while we still can.
- Acknowledge signs of a tide turning and be capable of executing other plans in the moment.
- Drive home the importance of flooding the back in case of a miss at the pointy end of the match.
- And stop being such a Mr Nice Guy apologist. FFS. It breeds loser culture.
Not gonna happen. Save your strength.I'm not melting and it means a lot for our future direction. The signs are there that Truck is amatuer and either we cut our losses early enough and use the tools of greatness for this group ASAP or we are going to tread water.
You could see it a mile away.Say what you will about Collingwood but they definitely handle pressure well. We froze in the last 5 or so minutes when the game was on the line.
Weak as piss effort by Ridley on the mark by Elliott. Will look horrific in the review
Edit: it was Langford. Horrific nonetheless
Of course they drill for it but similar things have happened to far better teams (Hawks in 2012 (Hawkins goal) and Geelong in 2013 (Miracle on Grass)). When teams are throwing everything at it, moving it up the ground can look so simple.I just watched the last two minutes again and although we missed easy shots to seal the game earlier, that 12 second coast to coast transition should never have happened. Surely they would drill for this exact scenario...
Is Stevic on the Pies Xmas card list, or what?
I’ve never seen an umpire blow holding ball so quickly against us. Very costly. Two of them were absolutely no prior and he was blowing the free immediately.
Casually replaced by Daicoses thoigh. Note to umpires: you can penalise the player even if their surname is Daicos.Positives ? pendulbury actually got done holding the ball
better than 4 metres lostHam, 1 handball 4m gained!

On another note, when Ham tackled Pendles in the last quarter, I thought he threw the ball out. Broadcasters said nothing
I'm sorry, your point about Harry is silly. He has been throwing himself in harm's way to contest since he broke into the side. He's not your whippee tonight.Once we missed those shots early in the last you just knew we were going to get done. Some positives, giving up the first 6 goals not one of them but a bit of mental toughness to fight back was nice.
Why we persist with Ham I don’t know. Losing one of it not our best player of late to be replaced by an undersized, poorly skilled, meek seagull was huge. Brayden, I’m sure you’re a nice fella but I’d be happier if I never saw you play seniors again.
Dumb team does dumb things, it happens. Skipper done, but most have known that for a while. He’s had a few games lately where he’s looked ok but they’ve coincided with the opposition bringing no pressure. He’s slow, poorly skilled and at this point in our development I’m not sure what he brings. The cruisy knacker should cruise the * off into the sunset.
Jones’ mental side should absolutely be questioned. I think he was just cooked by the end for that shot but he’s seemingly like a lot of our players have been for a long time, if it’s not easy or presented perfectly he’s not about the hard yards.
Hobbs and Durham however, I will sing their praises until the cows come home. Tough, skilful, genuinely hard footballers.
Hopefully we get some “learnings” and move on. We have the potential and ability to be better than our record suggests we are, whether we have the mental fortitude or not I’m still not sure.
Culture. It's why I'm not sure I quite agree with people who are saying we're better off holding draft position and got as much from the game as we neededSay what you will about Collingwood but they definitely handle pressure well. We froze in the last 5 or so minutes when the game was on the line.
better than 4 metres lost
If you’ve been following us for a while you will have noticed that is that we are not on his Xmas card list rather than anything to do with the Pies.Is Stevic on the Pies Xmas card list, or what?
