Given his apparent religious beliefs; not sure Kennedy will be keen to play Easter Sunday. Obviously Easter Saturday would be right out of the question and Good Friday he’d be injured

Do you reckon we could get a third rounder for Kennedy from Hawthorn?

OUT: Casbolt, Gibbons
IN: Kennedy, Cunningham

I think we will continue to nurse Kreuzer in the 2s a little while longer. Lobbe stays is simply because we have no choice.

Kennedy in allowing Fisher/Dow/Walsh/SPS to play a more outside role.

Gibbons has struggled, Cunningham the obvious choice to replace if fit

Dow gets to make amends, however if he continues with his poor kicking he will be sent to the NBs

Gov currently keeping JSOS in the twos
Kreuzer has to play. He was good yesterday and plays as an extra midfielder anyway

I’ve got an idea.Lets tell our players to just play with flair and dare.We recruited them for a reason so let them just play.Dont worry about structures, game plans etc.Theyre footballers not scientists.

Atleast 2 changes I reckon with setterfield for either JSOS or Kennedy Jack my preference) and Kruezer for Lobbe. We could easily bring in all of Kennedy, Polson, JSOS, Kreuzer, Lang, Cuningham though which would be a handy wake up call.

Once JSOS gets back in the side he won’t be giving it up for setterfield S return. The MC will struggle to find a player to drop that isn’t on Bolton’s pet list. I’d say Kennedy and Jack will force the MC to drop players like O’Brien, Ed, Gibbons, Fisher and Dow from the midfield group before they do. They show unmitigated effort always. JSOS will show us the half v Sydney in 2018 regularly and for longer durations. He’s ready.

Our recent games against the Dogs have been low-scoring shitfights with the Dogs just pulling away at the end.

Given our point of difference is the ruck (one Kreuzer please) and some good tall forwards against an undersized defence, something similar seems on the cards.

Prepare yourselves for a dour affair.

Drop Casboult, one of our talls needs to stay deep (Harry or Gov). Charlie can be a designated roamer. Cripps and Kreuzer are other bailout options.

Setters out is ok. Need to make the most of it. Two week hard training block. He hasn’t been impacting the game anyway.
He has been possibly better than expected...his stats have been favourable compared to Dow etc....
I ma glad i a way he can get a rest....
Post ACL and lack of base fitness.....can allow a break and rest and training

We’ve mostly been very undermanned past few games against them. GCS beat them at Marvel a few weeks ago and we all know what happened y’day. We’re a big chance here, we’re due

Outs: Gibbons, Lobbe, Setterfield, Cazbault

Ins: Cuningham (just hoping here that he is rdy), Kruezer, Kennedy, JSoS

Dogs play their own style of football, extremely quick ball movement and intense attack on the ball..they are trained hard to win and defeat opponents at all ..
costs...they train and attack the ball extremely hard.......their game style is very contemporary compared to us...
I do not see us outrunning or matching them at their own game...Pies bravely did that last week and almost came unstuck.

I guess we will try and stand strong in defense and play the zoned structures....and they will pick us off.

Cant match them for pace and spread and they will overrun our structure.....

I do not see 4 points from this game....

Bolton does have them playing steady sustainable football......we are not playing each game as a final...in that regard the approach is sensible, injuries are low and we are a couple goals off the mark each time.....

That means we are only a couple of good players away from beating sides

eg..Kreuzer in for Lobbe
Lang in for Polson
Doc in for Garlet[NOT NOW]
Casboult out for a fit Faz?

We are not way off.......but problem already is how low do we go in 2019
injuries?
Mental pressure/confidence
draftee maturing grunt and a lot of it- Weiers,Charlie,MC Kay,Cunno,Samo,Fish,Dow,O Brein,Walsh,Stocker....this is a ****t load of grunt on paper
these drafts are good and can win games....but progress is relatively slow unfortunately as we have seen at CFC so we sit tight and aim for 17th this year
