Yes we played well that night, but we had 12 day break and them 5 days , they had no Ablett, Stanley, Duckwood .
We had no Edwards, Meatball, Arsebury.
I thought Geesook were cooked after swans game , but they've found some form again.

Pies were cooked after the eagles game
Brions were already cooked as they played their GF against us

Cats have had a easy streak to the GF , The pressure of the Tigers will be a shock to them

Geelong rely on maintaining possession. Hawkins won’t be clunking contested marks in the wet.
Should suit our chaos and ground game

Be interesting to see. They’re a great team, they’ve had an aura about them all year the way they’ve played. I think it’s going to be an all time classic! Just wish the quarters were back to 20+ time on
 
Cats stop start, stop start, slow down play suits us beautifully.
When you're as slow as them they cant afford to move the ball too quickly.................................not concerned the slightest.

Some good ins and obviously better balance

but we also have 4 changes

think we’ll also be much stronger which is exciting
 
Personally i just feel that we are a faster team that run for longer during games and if the opposition cannot control the ball to slow the games down they dont have the legs to go with us.

Alot gets talked about the cats midfield which is top shelf in Dangerfield , Selwood , Guthrie , Duncan , Menegola , Blicavs , Parfitt
Our mids are just as dangerous and younger with Cotchin , Martin , Prestia , Edwards , Bolton , Lambert , Graham

But i think our foward like with Riewoldt , Lynch against Henderson & Taylor is more chance to kick goals than Hawkins & Rohan against Balta & Grimes
Astbury will take Stanley when he drifts foward and help out in the ruck. We have ample quality cover in our defence to nulify their fowards

Problem the cats will have is playing Danger as a foward really robs them in the midfield which becomes slower

What opponents? The pies were cooked, and lions looked half cooked. Both teams applied close to zero pressure on the cats. They will face a different beast next Sat, a team who will hunt them for 4 qtrs. No easy kicks, no easy anything.
I will say Motivation is what Richmond brought on Friday night at ports home ground. The will to win. This is not what I have seen from Geelong's last 2 games.
Geelong has been allowed to chip it around, transition with little to no pressure. Cats got beaten easily by Port 2 weeks ago who applied heaps of pressure... Yes, it's a GF so both teams will be hard at it, but if we bring the pressure and speed we beat them.

Watching the replay, an entertaining game.
Nank BOG.
The gulf between Nank and Lycett was amazing.
Lycett gave away 3-4 undisciplined frees and it hushed the crowd.

Got some walking wounded...rstanley all bandaged up...that guy in the backline who was on fire during the year is ginger...selwood is cooked...
