You understand context and abuse right? You understand Harry O'Brien was a premiership player in 2010?
It was - good? - to see the Pies live again after 18 months, but that's just about where the goodness ended.
Moore was great, Checkers was good, Cox too, maybe Jamie, I dunno. Very disheartening.
I dont agree with the posters saying we played with no heart or courage. I saw plenty of that, but it was largely wasted or burnt off in fumbles, turnovers, dropped marks and some gut-wrenching free kicks against. But not blaming the umpires.
When we play like that - and we have many times in recent years - we seem to lack confidence, in each other, in the game plan, in the outcome. We hesitate, look tentative, dont know what to do and then stuff it up.
The players traded out of the club would make no difference to how we played tonight. In fact, they'd join in.
We have structural problems, with aging star and bit players, then a few in the middle, then a whole bunch of kids.
If we lose to Carlton next week, it may be time to play the kids and brace ourselves for that sort of year.
Henry looked overwhelmed, but there's definitely something there.
So I assume they were hurling black slurs & taunts etc. at Isaac then? You understand context and abuse right?
Yeah. They were.So I assume they were hurling black slurs & taunts etc. at Isaac then?
And they were? Your initial post simply said they were saying 'Harry O'....Yeah. They were.
Interested to hear what you see in Henry?
Over his past 2 weeks he's dropped more uncontested marks than he's had disposals.
More importantly.. what do you think of Moores hairstyle and the return of the Daicos mullet? Not saying Henry looked comfortable or good. But he looks like a young AFL-level footballer to me, with some smarts and some 'touch', who is nowhere near the pace of the game yet, so his skills seem off. He will need a lot of time and a lot of games.
rubbish!
you should expect more
So.. you want Buckley gone now then?
Yep. They knew - after a discussion about the whole racism saga at Collingwood, they then proceeded to name every player by their proper name. Except IQ. They knew who he was. But for some reason know only to them they were “dryly” referring to him as Harry O and it didn’t take a genius to decipher that as shorthand for being a black player. And they were? You're reaching.Yep. They knew - after a discussion about the whole racism saga at Collingwood, they then proceeded to name every player by their proper name. Except IQ. They knew who he was. in the interest of banter and free speech I’m pretty tolerant. I’ve grown up in times where much worse things were said. But I’m not stupid and I don’t appreciate an insinuation that I’m looking for a reason to be outraged. If I didn’t think it warranted attention I wouldn’t have ever raised it as an issue.
I have listened to Leon Davis and Travis Varcoe be abused in years gone by and I won’t stand for it any more. I’m more interested in how you would think this is not insulting to label someone by the colour of their skin under the guise of “banter” for someone who plays For the team you support?
Sure. Well thanks for the feedback.I also don't understand how calling Q harry O is racist. Sounds more like a compliment
More importantly.. what do you think of Moores hairstyle and the return of the Daicos mullet?
Welcome to a rebuild
if it isnt it will be very soonWish it actually was.
Then I guess I have totally misread the situation and I have misplaced anger at a totally respectable member of society who was not at all at fault. What is society without a measured and honest discourse after allYou're reaching.
If "Harry O' was it - who was a Collingwood Premiership player, I think your outrage really isn't close to the mark.
So because someone doesn't think thats racist, you call them an idiot.Sure. Well thanks for the feedback.
Je ne peux pas discuter avec des idiots
you didnt answer the question... You have said unequivocally that Buckley will be coaching this year for his job and not for the football club and it's future chances of a flag. So given that... do you want him to remain as coach for the year? If what you say is true, would a prudent board keep him in the job this year?rubbish ?
Their is a ruthlessness and win at all costs attitude in sports clubs that’s both callous and uncompromising.
I don’t want those values in my Family or significant other - maybe you do.
Each to their own.
Too or as well? Who can say. I did not witness that event so I cannot have a decisive opinion about itCarlton fans were calling Oscar McDonald oscar Kernahan. Is this too offensive?
The precise thing for you, is that you have not played football at any level,
Grundy had 10 hit-outs directly sharked by the opposition.Tonight

It’s a recurrent theme, I know I’ve hand picked these games but these are the most important 3 games we’ve played in each of the last 3 seasons and given the absolute HO dominance and ascendancy we’ve had look at the Clearance and CP’s numbers we bring up too. If Adams isn’t winning us a clearances, who the fu** is? We legit have nobody. It’s pathetic. We always blame our forwards, but honestly, if we can’t win it at the goal face and give our forwards a chance 1 on 1 then what’s the point in complaining when we pump it in there when teams have had time to flood back and help with numbers. Grundy was colossus in 2018/19 so I’m honestly asking you, yes he has a role to play but to constantly flag him as the million dollar issue is bullshit. Why not start having a crack at our midfield group as a whole. I cannot remember the last time we played a top team and won that wasn’t because of our defence.
