Idk about other people's expectations, but mine include Richmond and Collingwood making the 8 if they keep key players on the park. Nothing has happened in a few weeks to change that.
Easy to forget Fremantle beat the Pies and West Coast beat Essendon in last year's practice matches. Neither of those results held up over the course of the season, so a degree of scepticism for pre-season form involving travel to WA is probably natural.
Geelong v Melbourne is the match which has gotten real tricky to tip. For the Dees, losing Purcell could've been absorbed a fair bit if West was still there. Geelong have even less options to cover for a sidelined Scheer, nevertheless they narrowly won that SF last year without her (which started with Amy McDonald being left alone inside F50 twice for two goals).
