Half back flank. He & Jimmy Webster would be our 2 quarterback type distributors from defenceWhat role will savage play? General down back or midfield
Is that the role he played last year when he was gathering 25+ possessions? Or was he playing midHalf back flank. He & Jimmy Webster would be our 2 quarterback type distributors from defence
Lonie is slightly different to Neade in that he'll be more involved in the play and his use of the ball will be needed up front.
He was doing that at in the backline. Is now ready to become the greatest HB the game has ever seen.Is that the role he played last year when he was gathering 25+ possessions? Or was he playing mid
Should I answer this for everyone? What do you guys think about Lee? Not sure He warrants selection but needs a decent run of games some time this year IMO to see whether He can deliver or not.
I'm talking about the similar weight division.Jake Neade? WTF? His scoring was terrible. Hopefully will turn into a good player but his first year score wise was deplorable.
Beg your pardon. Missunderstood. Sorry!I'm talking about the similar weight division.
So half forward mid? Would have thought he'd be to slight or not fit enough for mid role? Can you elaborate please Rahul?Lonie is slightly different to Neade in that he'll be more involved in the play and his use of the ball will be needed up front.
I believe Lonie is an elite user and decision maker. And when I say user to a West Coast supporter, I'm talking of the footy.
He may be slight, but he has the smarts and skills to make an impact in a St Kilda team which struggles to hit targets away from a half dozen elite few.
Took a long time, very slow start, lot of 30s etc IIRC
He will play half forward but will be involved in lots of the play on the flank. Not big or strong enough to play midfield. Not yet at least. A concern for sure with our midfield's inability to win the footy, and I think his role will be contested between a few even players. So half forward mid? Does anyone know who's not available for selection? And who's in the test bucket?

Just curious, no Saad?
Would have thought he'd have impressed more than Minchie, for example.
If Minchie gets the nod I really hope he has a cracker.Fair point. I am a bit biased against saad and i noticed that he didn't spend any time in the middle where as Minch was played mainly in the midfield
Riewoldt on a wing? I like it. But I would also like to see McCartin up forward instead of Lee if Roo was to play up the ground. This is what I'm hearing... believe it or not (And no, the surprise isn't that Joey will play Round 1. You'll know it when you see it...).

Yep, that's absolutely a possibility. I'm not hearing who replaces him in the forward line - I chucked Lee in there, but it could just as easily be Paddy, White, who knows.Riewoldt on a wing? I like it. But I would also like to see McCartin up forward instead of Lee if Roo was to play up the ground.
