in my years following the team i've never been more disgusted... i hope the players have a good look at themselves. I hope the coaches all resign monday morning. I hope buckley gives back all the money he got paid. I hope ned guy goes to afganistan and tries to do something positive with his life..

Gunston was not a big name when recruited by the Hawks…..Ditto Impey.

A few shrewd selections and some tough negotiations are required.

The first step is for the coach to be announced and for the game plan to be tabled. Work out what current pieces fit into the plan and what are missing.

Does the game plan reply on leg speed and fast ball movement? Is it more possession based and therefore more skilled kickers are needed. Does he want a versatile team. Does he want to use taggers. Will he put the better ball users off half back? Are we going to be a high scoring or low scoring defensive style team? Does the team require two ruckman?

If you look purely at the names ie Sidebottom, Grundy, WHE, then it reads ok. But the actual output is different.

I would hope in the exit interviews -

Macrae, De Goey, Reef, Josh D, IQ - big pre season and will play midfield next season.

Forward line lacks punch. We kicked 100 points once (106 v Carlton) for the whole season. That is absolutely pathetic.

Lynch - You have a big pre season and we will play with two ruckman (assuming Grundy stays)
