That’s fair, the only person I can think of Atu for the lockdown

Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com
maybe turner might be able to keep him to 3 or 4 , problem is tippa has a ridiculously low center of gravity combined with strenght and explosive off the mark pace. and as we have seen is a great finisher. turner has a bit of wirey strength where he might be able to off balance him a bit. even lmac was been shown up by tippa in these close scenarios and he is far stronger than ats.

If we win today, how at risk is our first pick in the mid season draft? I want that free top-10 pick and don't care how we get it.
we would be equal with hawks on games won, but still well behind on percentage

Atley can lock down defensively fine. It's just that between occasional concentration fades and looking to be used as transition option it's not that rare for him to leak a couple of 'easy looking' goals. You've just got to pay close attention to him and if you're going to tackle it simply has to stick. I don't think Ats would do too badly tbh, and doubly so if he's asked to sacrifice his offensive game.

Turner is the only other decent option I can think of, and tbh he's in pretty good defensive form (without a single Free Against to his name the last 3 weeks, which is bloody handy for a close checking player).

Nail. Head.

I got a freebie of this and thought I'd read it for the lolz.

Couldn't get more than a couple dozen pages in. Was just frankly disturbing

Starts off with the author talking about how his missus left because he abused and attacked her in public when they lost a game and everyone was calling them drug cheats.

Then gets onto the deadshit who holds that stupid banner, and him talking about how the Bombers are so important because it is the only time he's allowed access to his kids - supervised visits at games.

Like, I get that that relationships break down, been there and done that, and I get that when kids are involved it can get really messy. But there are clear lines.

I've never threatened a partner in public, screaming at them, because we copped a loss. I don't have kids but lots of my friends do and some have been through ugly break ups, none have ever got to the point where they are only allowed public visitation.

They were a nasty ugly support base BEFORE the drug stuff radicalised them.

Now they're even worse. Just an ugly ugly mob.

Sending death threats to oppo players and umpires, and not just "banter" online, stuff that warrants criminal action.

Booing Scott frigging Pendlebury, one of the cleanest and greatest ball players in the game's history on ANZAC DAY because a free went against them.

As I said, I can handle their home games when I can stand with some family/friends and be insulated from them, but sitting among them?

Nah, not paying for that pleasure.

Not going this time, tbh just can't handle the vibe at their home games.

Real Dad having a supervised access visit with the kids who plainly don't want to be there energy with their crowd.

Is OK when you can stand and keep a suitable distance from them, but having to sit near them?

Creepy.

Lol, that supervised visit thing cracked me up.

The epitome of * fans is deadshits like that bragging about how rich the club is..

Goldy to lead the way from the front again, win contested ball in the midfield, main part of the process to achieve a win, we are pretty good at that to be fair, don't allow Ridley to run around unattended in defense for them, Nth by 33 pt's, no injuries, and a well deserved Rising Star nomination for Powell will make a good day.

He wouldn’t have gotten past his Claremont days. You guys think he was loose at North, you should have seen him in the WAFL.

I didn't think he was particularly loose, he certainly didn't like the racial abuse he copped. And that was a tool used against him many times.

I do recall Ablet senior on when Jimmy snotted him and why he snotted him. Ablett told Jimmy he was getting slow, and Jimmy whacked him with a lighting left. Ablett did laugh about it and admitted he told Jimmy he got it wrong and he was still quick.

Claremont actually smoothed him out

If Jimmy played today he'd his career would be ten goals total. He'd only play one game and be outed for life.
To be fair anyone who said a tenth of what he used to cop on field to him or Phil would also be out for life before they hit the ground. (Out of the comp, not just consciousness.)

Phil's GOTY in '86 when someone, Duckworth maybe but couldn't say, callects him about a minute after he kicks it with an elbow to the head... that would be eight weeks these days instead of "nothing wrong with that" from some commentator.
