From Jen Phelan on twitter just now:

"Conca & Ellis to come in for @RIchmond_FC for Saturday. S. Edwards fit to play, Grimes has "further progressed" #AFLTigersCrows"

Sounds good with Grimey! We should still give him as long as he needs, and then some.

Don't think so mate. Edwards has been solid tho.

What is it with you facination with Supercoach and dream team points to determine how well they played? For example last year when Chaplin stood Tex, Tex kicked 6 goals and was arguably best on ground. But Chaplin got 121 supercoach points so he played well??
Supercoach and dream team points are not sufficient to fully assess a player. But the argument here is not about a fully nuanced assessment of Chaplin. You lot have been asserting that he's "average". Players who can average over 100 points a match are not "average". You can quibble about how good they actually are, but they're clearly better than average.

& then some more. I just want him to string together a few good solid months.

We could say with Conca/Ellis back in the side we are close enough to a full strength side. Tuck/Grimes are the other 2 who would make our best 22 and an argument could be made about Knights.

If the weather is OK, I reckon we could push 50k at the G on Saturday.
Crows will be very determined. This is our season defining game.

Weather looks shizen.

Looks good to me for a Melbourne winter. Today is horrendous. :p

Danger, Thompson and Sloane are great players but we match them easily with Cotchin, Lids and Martin. We don't have a match for Douglas but who do they have in their second tier to match our Conca, Ellis, Vlastuin, Edwards, Foley, Grigg and Jackson? Van Berlo, Crouch...?

Having said that if we take them lightly we'll get smacked.

Surely you jest good sir?

Anyway i see this thread has been taken over by our boards trolls again.

Sighhhh

Having his best year mate. Jackson is normally one bloke we knock on here 24/7 (current leader of that competition is Nahas), but this year he would probably be in our top 10 B&F for the year so far. Is playing his defensive midfield role to perfection and has taken some big scalps along the way. The key to it all is that he's cut down on his stupid brainfarts (giving away 50m penalties, getting suspended etc.).

We've all been waiting for him to let us down but this year he hasn't really put a foot wrong.

He's been solid this year and we're getting all we can from him but other sides still have the right to question him as being a threat. His disposal under pressure and sometimes under no pressure has serious question marks.

Win this and we have beaten;

Carlton, West Coast, Adelaide and Port**
7th, 8th, 10th and 11th.

These are 8 point games. Keep going and don't drop any easy ones and we make the finals.

** Port are shizenhousen and don't really count

Jackson would EASILY be top 5 in our b&f at the moment.
He has been our most consistent midfielder and has shut down some very good players.

(I still think he should be banned from kicking the ball unless he's within 70 metres of our goals)

Hardwick said after round 4 Jackson probably would be leading our B&F at that stage, and remember he was runner up in the 2009 B&F. This year he is back to that form.
