Love the tiges and how we played against WC the other week but I'll be making an insurance bet on this one for sure with Adelaide out at $3.50.
There is no reason we should lose this but Richmond will often manage to find a way to lose these crunch games

Prove me wrong tigers

3.50 is juicy.

Our most important match in ages.
Forget about the media going on about when we play the collingwoods,Carlton's etc this represents a real chance to put ourselves in the mix.
The way the season is panning out with the top sides winning everything and the bottom sides losing everything a huge chasm is appearing and it will be very easy to lose contact.
Might be a season where 13 wins won't cut it percentage pending. Might even need 14. Huge huge game.
If we win this I'm confident we make it.
Eat em alive

Should be a good game. Keen to see more of Vlastuin!

But I highly doubt this will be a flogging either way as some are suggesting. We usually do well after a heavy loss and I expect Saturday to be no different. Take away our appalling effort against Sydney (2nd biggest loss at home in our history) we have lost to Freo & the Hawks by a combined total of 18 points (more scoring shots than Freo, level with Hawthorn) so I think a few need to calm down with their predictions and just hope for a win. Richmond are not world beaters and Adelaide are not easy beats so I'm expecting a tight contest.

Though I am worried about how we play the G.

Should be an interesting game. :thumbsu:

Yeah lots of people extremely confident for this game.
I'm confident of a win too, but would not be surprised in the slightest if we lose.
Need to be up for it from the start and hope our midfield gets on top.
Both midfields are evenly matched in my opinion.

Tiges by 3 points.

You said Jenkins has lost the plot particularly in the last 3-4 weeks. I pointed out Jenkins was very good in the North game, which was in your named time period. You then brought up DT points as some form of argument that he wasn't (despite having not watched the game), also saying that 13 disposals is average at best despite being more then what your two key forwards both average. Not really sure what you are trying to prove?

That's what I was about to say!
Your posts seem so irrelevant to my comment that Jenkins has lost it.
Then you decide to bring Jack and Vicks into the equation, who are and will always be better than Jenkins and use their (as you called it) fewer than 13 disposals more effectively.
So what if he gathered 13 possessions against North several weeks ago!
Your whole team was on fire in the last quarter which could've made Tambling look the goods also!

I love how opposition supporters think lynch is a key forward, you clearly don't watch our games muppet. Lynch is a high half forward/midfield player, Mckernan and jenkins are our key forwards.

Compare lynchs output to other high forwards and he would be near the top of the pile.
Also Scott Thompson (north) is a better defender than any of the tigers defenders, yet lynch had 13 and 7 marks in a half on him. Let us hope the Richmond coaches are just as dumb to play a key defender on him, they will be carved up

And Jenkins has played well in all games except Sydney. Tigers fans getting ahead of themselves again, the odds for the game are very generous aswell

You clearly did not read one of my earlier posts bird brain!

I've witnessed several Cow matches this season including being at AAMI to witness the mother of all capitulations on Saturday.

As for playing a key defender on him, Batch would be the likely choice who played a great defensive role against a better side in the Eagles last week and certainly I'd agree with you there, as it will be a no brainer decision by our coachng staff!

aslong as we bring have 70 tackles again we'll win

Couldn't agree more.

We look fantastic with the ball, when we're on, but we do struggle to get the ball back off the opposition at times. The final quarter of Round 1 was a good example. Or all of the Dreamtime game. We need good tackling and harassing to get hold of the pill and make our footy rounded.

Yea sounds like you know your stuff
Tiges are a rabble pal, you've beaten no one, and neither have we. Will be a good match

Typical Cow supporter jumping the gun!

Perhaps you should've included the word "of any significance" after your comment?

That said, it will be a good match until half time, then very one sided afterwards!

Um......you took Knights from us.......and also Chaplin from port. ;) So we will respect your mob too ey. ;)
Big difference. What have Graham and Bling contributed to your team? Chappy's played some good footy for us in his first 10 games and Knight's had just started to find his form with a 3 goal game before injuring his knee, plus we got them for next to nothing. Ok your turn, what have your 2 contributed? And what did you give up?

This game has Freo 2012 written all over it. I hope we approach it differently. Though admittedly 2013 Adelaide aren't even close to 2012 Freo's form/quality.

Jackson on Dangerfield
Rance on... uuuhh
Chaplin on... hmmm

Do they have a forward line?

Though I am worried about how we play the G.

This is an important factor in our favour I reckon...
Looks like it will be dry enough for us to play as we prefer to on our home patch.

Always worried when The Tigers face an important game but if we are serious in 2013 we will win comfortably.

You are easily ruffled eh?...and out of line with your name calling.
Crows were shit against Sydney but not too many teams would've got close to the 2013 premiers that day - they played extremely well.
Write us off if you want.

Knights was doing well up until his injury I'll give you that. Bling is never going to be AFL standard, even if he is ripping it up in the SANFL, he can't convert that form to the big stage unfortunately.

But the difference between Chaplin and Graham is that there was always going to be a spot in the 22 for Chaplin at Richmond. You were in dire need of a defender like him, whereas Graham is not even our third best tall and was always going to be in constant battle for a spot in the side.

Excuse me, but I'd be checking your fellow posters earlier comments before accusing me of name calling!
Typical Cow supporter's 'water thin reply' with no reasoning behind his post.
I'd be crawling back to your board and discuss this weekend's losing margin with your fellow colleagues!
Seeya!

How is pointing out his good performance in a time period that you said he was terrible irrelevant to the comment?
Your always gonna struggle when you are arguing something that you didn't even see in the first place.

Capable of winning this game. Depends on whether the team has learnt to play consistent football.

Play like we did against the Eagles, and we will easily win. Play like we did against Melbourne, then it will be a toss of the coin. Play lie we did against Essendon and we will struggle.

Our "A" game has to beat all sides around us, so we cannot afford to lose this game. I think Adelaide won't play another shocker like last week, but we should be able to win comfortably on form.

Tigers by 20 points.

Yes...they have Jenkins and Lynch who both tore the game apart against North!

This is exactly WHY i don't watch may Crows games!
Gloating on one performance several weeks ago against a side who was dismantled by GC on the weekend.
For arguments sake, let Jenkins prove me wrong against the Tiges on Saturday and I will personally acknowledge his 'good work!'

I'm not gloating at all. Was simply disputing your claim that he has 'lost the plot'.

Jenkins has been serviceable. In fairness to him he has been thrown to the wolves in the role of key forward with the loss of Tippett and then Walker. As a 2nd tall to Tex he'd be very handy.

Adelaides midfielders are all capable of kicking goals & Lynch can also present a danger. They will find goals if they get momentum. Our tackling and intensity must be up there with the WCE game. That was our best performance of the year but will mean nothing if we drop this game.
