Crameri has speed and Laidler doesn't. I wouldn't have thought that would be a good match up.

I agree, which is why I suggested Walker would be the ideal matchup.
Has the speed & strength to go with Crameri, and in terms of leg speed running the ball out of defence, he has him covered there also. I would suggest Essendon may try and use a defensive forward on him, so we need to be proactive and play him on someone that benefits us.

Juddy to play 101%.

Malthouse said he pulled out of last Saturday's game because of 'general soreness'.

That really means 'rested against the minnows so he could be pumped for the next big one'.

Wouldn't be surprised if we rotate Walks and Yaz a lot this week. Both give us the run, and by rotating we could cause headaches for their match ups. They will not let us dictate who Walker lines up on. We need to be ready for that by playing him off against his opponents weakness, which we can do as he is versatile.

If he can beet everyone they throw at him, we then may get the match u we want.

Carrots still 1 week away, according to the official injury update

Lucas, Warncock, Judd and McInness will all be tested at training during the week

Hardly a shock ozzz.
Was never hamstring soreness - he just a rest to get him ready for the next two weeks.

Mick said tonight on 5AA that Judd really was injured and as result does not get his 250th on Friday which he was really looking forward too. Just made me think Judd really was injured, albeit a minor strain that he probably could've played through had we not been playing GWS.

Mick also said he and the players are very very excited for Friday night. They want to challenge themselves and put the game plan to the test.

Wooo very very...sounds mouth watering.

Mick and the boys aren't the only ones excited for this game, I'm so pumped I can't wait. We'll need to be at our best but with Eddie and Juddy back think we can get over the line and get off to a good start with a big month ahead.

The good footy White is playing and the little bit of edge Laidler has lost is what's keeping him out of the firsts. It's not a bad thing having one player step up to push another out of the side really.

does that mean he is not playing this week?

With Lucas missing the last game too, Judd might have to play in the VFL and earn his spot.

:p

Wonder if Casboult plays we'll see Dempsey anywhere near the front of the pack.
I would think that Dempsey would be more concerned with trying to run away from Casboult with the ball in hand... I think that he would still be having nightmares about our second game last year when Rock The came from nowhere and ran him down twice :)

The bigger issue is why the hell were you listening to 5AA?
Nah seriously, thanks for the update.
Judd might very well have had a tight hamstring, but I don't think there was any doubt he wouldn't play this week.

If the players can't get themselves pumped for a game like this, then they never will.

I think we can put a line through Carrots on Fri night. He will lack match fitness and there's too much doubt. Only pick him if he is 100%. I'm not convinced he is.

Will have to play him in the Ants for the next couple of weeks to get match fitness back up...

He does get injured every game though

bit like waite.
he's had a bad run. But saying he's soft is just so wrong it's not funny. He usually gets injured because he hits the contest so hard. Sorry, but there's one thing you can't accuse Hurley of and it's being soft
