If this is what we bring for people to spend hard earned $$$ to suffer through...
Buckley and every one else who coaches.. can pack their bags.
Sack them now
That’s not going to happen.

we were 2goals 15 at what point. We kick 3 more of them and its a different story.

We didn't deserve to get as close as we did though.

Yep. Can't Kick 1 Goal in 3 Qtrs and win.

Cameron was actually elite when he went into the ruck, found plenty of the ball and must've had 5 or 6 clearances in around a quarter.

JDG, well that's what he can do when he's on and plays in the middle with purpose. 20 odd possessions and 2 goals in the middle from a half of football. Has to do it every week now.

Second half, well I can watch that every week regardless of the result. Kamikaze ball movement and we actually looked good.

Finally, we have a good crop of young kids coming through.

...do we though?

Bianco was great but the others were pretty anonymous. I'm not convinced at all on Poulter yet, not sure what others see tbh. He doesn't seem to have any real weapons, wastes a lot of energy running around without purpose and is pretty error prone at the moment.

Tom Wilson is no good, seriously just put a line through him. Fin didn't do anything but also didn't get much of opportunity, his last full AFL was genuinely bad though, I'm not convinced here at all yet either.

I thought Sier was better today though and Quaynor is a star in the making. Daicos is coasting at the moment, not sure he'll ever be much more than just a good, average weak tackling winger. I like McCreery, good honest worker but clearly won't ever be an a-grader.

Overall though, I think we'd comfortably be in the bottom half of teams when it comes to promising young talent. That's what happens when you trade your first rounders for 5 years running though.

Sidebottom was a bit better than he has been. Pendlebury much, much worse.

I wish we saw fully engaged DeGoey and Sier more often.

Bianco, Degoey, sier positives. Keep sier in ffs, all season. Cameron tried hard.

c brown, Madgen what can you say. Just a joke now tbh. Just a broken record

when we take the game on we look good. Just under bucks it only happens when the games lost, rather than there to be won.

Positives and negatives. Bring on the MSD!

The last 2 weeks have convinced me that our list isn't actually that bad.

It definitely isn't a top 6 list but it is IMO not a bottom 3 list, or really that close to it. Younger lads like Poulter, Murphy, McCreery and Bianco are all very promising, Daicos (not his best today tbf) and Quaynor have the potential to be all Australians with another year or so of development and we still have enough established talent of a decent age (Moore, Maynard, Grundy, De Goey, Mihocek etc). I had feared we were in for a very long rebuild but with some key changes in the coaching department, some more youth coming into the club and the natural development of some of our current young crop we are not as far off as many think. Perhaps the only major missing piece is that we lack a quality natural key forward (too early to make a call on McMahon).

However, none of this will matter if nothing changes from a coaching perspective. Most of us are aware of this already so I will avoid going into detail on Buckley and the assistants and the mess of a game plan (if thats what it could be called) we have but I am not opposed to an immediate change in coach so we can appoint a caretaker who will give the squad some freedom and hopefully a bit more confidence.

In terms of individual games; Cameron was great and has been a bit of a revelation this season, Sier was very good with the ball and definitely offers us something different at stoppages. Sadly I just don't know if Tom Wilson is a long term AFL player, he does some nice things but seems to lack pace, footy instincts or even a clear best position.

What a terrible game of footy. Not going to win many games of footy kicking 14 behinds before your second goal is on the board. While the cats were almost as inaccurate in the end they kicked goals when it mattered, which was ultimately the difference. Weirdly we also ended with 4 straight goals.

The type of game were it's difficult to take much away, but a couple of important half time changes stand out namely DeGoey into the centre, Madgen back to defence, he was lost forward, and Muprhy more time inside 50. Plus the forced changed of Cameron into the ruck. Also thought giving Maynard the job on Cameron was a good one when many expected Moore to be given that task.

In terms of other individuals, Mayne had another good game and must be some chance at earning another contract (probably to the angst of some), Sier came into the game in the second half with some important clean touches, Bianco started very well looks composed and Quaynor continues to develop.

Think its pretty obvious the players told him to stick his plan up his clacker at 3/4qtr time.
I doubt that very much. Far more likely that the players acted under the coaches instructions.

Hopefully this is the bottom out, if not we are in serious trouble, that was the most difficult thing to watch.
The list is in terrible shape, the game plan is the worst in the league and almost unwatchable.
I watch this club now with no emotion, they have sucked all enjoyment out of watching them play every week.

A few of the younger brigade looked alright, Cameron was pretty good, Bianco had 19 from 63% game time, IQ had 27 and took the game on. Noble, Poulter and Daics were quieter but not bad.

get Cal Brown and Madge out of the team and we improve.

A new gameplan or a new coach who is relentless in getting players to play to the gameplan would help.

Mayne he gets plenty of the ball but he is a momentum killer. Every kick is short sideways or backward. He has no vision or intent.
