Bonner looks like he’s trying to mimic Gryan Miers at times with an around the body sliding pass - they’re his worst ones every time. His straight line kicking is quite reliable I feel. If he keeps things fairly simple I like him in our side overall
Kicking around corners requires the player - like Miers - to be bow leggged to pull it off. Tough skill.
Bonner ain’t bow legged.

Makes no sense to note this, unless you are a St Kilda fan.....

Remember the season one before last, Brisbane were home track bullies, beating everyone at the Gabba but failing to to win a single game in Melbourne.

Until....of course...they faced the mighty Saints at Marvel, and managed to shake the voodoo.
What a shocker of a night that was SG.

We fought back in the 3rd qtr and were in front at 3 qtr time.....and then....collapsed.

From memory big Maxy kicked 5 behinds that night and talk about Chinese water torture....he couldn't hit the side of a proverbial barn that night !!!!!!

And the cosmic forces being the way they are.....he kicked 5 straight the next week.

Tis the luck of the Saints !!!!!

Not sure whether RTB gives the coaches votes or whether he delegates it to one of his assistants, but it's interesting to look at the list of players that's received votes.

Of the 15 who have received votes so far this year none have played VFL Dow has but obviously that was before he gained senior selection. It might be an indicator of his favourites.

And yes, Seb is on the list.

I never understand this logic.

The melts would be enormous if we paid more than a late third rounder for someone with equivalent numbers as Sharman yet because he currently plays for us, we presume he should be worth more if he was traded out.
Its hilarious how seemingly intelligent humans, aka one eyed footy fans, lose all ability to process basic logic and objectivety when rating their own players. I reckon our fans suffer it more than most others.

Feeling like a real Shoenmaker come in and kick a goal from 55m in a good win against the Suns type weekend

Problem is when the promising kid comes in and plays seniors we all get our bubble burst by seeing how far away they are. I prefer if he stays in the twos and I can just stay hopeful.

If we have any integrity in selections, then Seb Ross needs to he dropped.

Over the last month he has been one of our worse players. I've been watching him closely and he barely get the ball more than half a dozen times in the first half and then pads the stat's when the game is already over to make it look respectable.

Last week to get 6 touches with 84% TOG is embarrassing.

Outs:
Ross (omitted)
King (if injured)

Ins:
Crouch
Sherman

If Crouch isn't ready, I really like the look of Hastie and think we have a real gem
I think Seb is cooked but it looks like our kids are better off playing VFL right now. I wouldn't mess with that.

Jones, Ross, Allison, Campbell, and Van Es I reckon will all be gone. Hayes and Hotton probable as well but I’d much rather we keep them.

Then we’d be likely trading a player or two, Paton or Clark for example.

Battle is 50:50 to leave via Free Agency.

Campbell will only go if they can find a better replacement, l reckon he stays.
JVE will get another year to see if his ankle holds up.
Jones, Ross, Membrey, Allison, Pato, Hayes, all gone.
Possibles, Byrnes, Battle, Howard
Hopefuls, Bonner

Doubt we’re moving Howard on. And especially if Battle does.
Doug’s has been pretty good since his return.

I think Stav said they'll look if they can get value for him. It's the right approach.
As in 2021 Wilkie can play CHF if needs be and Cordy FB. Granted it's not ideal but if they can find a tall backman on the cheap it'll be looked at. We don't have much to trade with this year so pragmatism should prevail.

wilkie at CHF... now we're talking, I know wilkie is in his best position for himself and for the team, but man it would be interesting to see him as a forward just for one game. He reads the flight so well

You know who could (and did) hit something that day? Harris Andrews, who spent the whole night doing it to King. Watching it live, the treatment was significant and IMO undoubtedly had an effect on King's accuracy for goal.

They really should stamp that out.
Concussion experts are saying lots of small blows can be bad as well as big hits, and i'm sorry the "oops i missed the ball and hit your head again " is old school and pathetic.

Looks like patience has finally run out with
Bon.

Edit: Bon just bumped Mitchito, hardest I've seen him go all season. He seemed ok, then got caught in a tackle. Looks like corkie, should be fine but will be sore.

Zones may be a good bloke, but I've never seen someone try so hard to be alpha. Like to blame his teammates every time he stuffs up.
