Gotta keep lobb as the spearhead. He's owning that right now.

And anyone who doesn't want fyfe in the team has no brain.

Fyfe missing the 1st half of the year will actually benefit he and the club long term.

Our irresistible form and midfield chemistry has forced fyfe to commit spending more time forward. Something we haven't really committed too let's be honest.

Fyfe will also benefit by not being beat up in the middle every game.

The team has been forced to grow up where it isn't reliant on him and actually forces fyfe to adapt to the team not vice versa.

If Fyfe solves his goal kicking woes then really we have every base covered if not already. The 3rd tall was the issue which will be solved between He and logue when everyone is fit.

JL and the match committee need to have to balls to have 2 different teams if wet or dry. Our last 2 wet games we were far too tall.

If dry:

In: Fyfe, Tabs, Switta
Out: Meek, Tucker, Hughes

If really wet:

In: Fyfe, Switta, Walters, Chapman
Out: Meek (or Darcy if isnt fit) Lobb, Pearce, Tucker

Pretty nervous about this one, boys will need to be on, Hawks arent an easy team by any stretch and they are playing a lot better then their record suggests (the % is probably a good indicator of where they are at). They are also a team to me that would play well in the wet with their slow, stocky midfield being made for the wet game. Also some handy smalls in the forwardline.

We'll need to play as well as the last two weeks to get over the line and I think it's really important the guys buckle down and bring the A game while coming off two really good wins

I'm sorry but I think this is equally ridiculous. If a player had a single bad game, would you be calling for him to be dropped? Banfield had a single good game, there are players that on average, week in, week out, play better then him.

Switta is coming back into the side, he is a better player than Banfield, there is no debate on this. If Switta is coming into the side, tell me who you are dropping
Fair enough mate, not here to argue. And apologies for an aggressive post. On reflection, after watching the game on the TV, a lot of players won the game and we have talent in abundance. Banners had one touch to half time, but may have been the difference. The end of the day, I have booked our family a trip to Melbourne in September. Spots are the toughest in our history IMO. Logue has earnt his, Banfield is the perfect sub. If I am picking the perfect team, I am picking Swita over Banners. Emotions ran high, I am so thrilled to have this problem. I send love to ya Snuff, thanks for making it real!

No need to apologies, and so long as no one starts using names, it's a discussion, not an argument. I'll always respect someone who goes into bat for the players when the internet keyboard warriors such as myself are going to town.

And you're right, it's an awesome position to be in when the "arugments" we have are over those you are unlucky to be dropped rather than those who are lucky to be in the team

What happened with Erasmus, Blakey and Johnson weekend just gone?

First game was unreal but he has had such an interrupted year - in and out of the team, played as sub etc. Just needs a good run at it at Peel.

Hated the idea of having Erasmus as the sub. Either give him a full game at Peel or a full game in the firsts.

Am I the only guy here who hasn't booked September flights? Lol

I’m less stressed about the rain with Fyfe back in and with Logue playing forward. The latter was one of our better players against the suns and I think having those two forward will be a big help for our composure and contested work

Hey all! Just a few questions whoever is keen enough to answer them.

What are your matchups for example.

Who takes Lewis? Pearce?

Who takes Gunston if he plays, Cox?

Do Walters, Switta, Fyfe, Chappy all return?

Aish tagging Newcombe or Mitchell?

I wanted to do a bit of a deep dive in defending Tucker, because for some reason I thought he may have missed a chunk of footy.

But he hasn't, outside of an injury hampered 2020. For so much consecutive footy and how heavily he was hyped its disappointing to see where he's at as I was really excited about him in 2015.

Tucker -> Fyfe
Meek -> Taberner (if fit)
Hughes -> Chapman (if fit)
Switowski and Walters come in for NFI.

Pearce to Lewis

Cox to Gunston

Ryan to Bruest

Walker to Moore probably

Chapman did a hammy so unless it's of the magical Cripps one week varaity he is unlikely to return.

Walters, Fyfe, Switta and Tabs all a chance but it's hard to say if they'll all play. Hard to drop too many from a side that beat Brisbane.

I doubt we run with a tag unless one of them starts doing a lot of damage. Didn't run with a tag vs Brisbane for example.

Crazy looking at our 2021 games to now. We are just injury decimated and nothing more - we are almost the same side except for Brodie and losing the talented Cerra.

It's hard to pinpoint our rise except for our coaches getting the absolute best out of a mostly healthy list.

Walker to Wingard or Butler i would've thought, match their pace. Moore would take someone with elite endurance if you have a defender who'd suit that.

Yeah agree don't think it's an easy selection week, and i wouldn't wanna be JL.

Yeah, only half a game of it against Dees although successful. So if Mitchell or Newcombe start to domiante, could be implemented.

What's the weather forecast in Perth this week haha
