Just remember, it took until Josh’s fourth year to make the jump. I’m not sure Callum will ever take that next step, but don’t write off Tyler just yet. Much like Josh, he’s showing good signs but doesn’t have the tank/physique to put it all together yet. His first half was very good. 4 clearances to half time is good by any standard, let alone a skinny kid yet to grow in to his body.
I agree Tyler hasn’t had a crack, hopefully gets a decent run at it

No love for Jack Magden? Wake up Collingwood supporters. Maybe if he changed his name to Mag-jic he might get a bit of love. FMD. The modern day supporter is so superficial.

Moving on to Josh Thomas. The guy has been pilloried by most on this forum but he always gives his all. After weeks of effort without much reward today it finally clicked. Can all of those who have bagged him relentlessly in the last eight weeks fall on your covid infected sword?

Excellent win without four of our best. My Carlton loving only brother and my Carlton loving father have felt my wrath tonight.
Im happy with Madges progress, he has certainly looked more at home at AFL level in the last few games. He will still have his cringe moments but he is well on the positive side of the ledger.

I love JT as well, but he has been putrid this year! Today was a good performance, but he needs to back it up with more of the same next game before I’ll really get back on board.

Apart from the match itself, some good signs from individual players.

IQ really looking like a very good player.
Magden continues to be rock solid
T Brown building
Elliott continues to improve as a midfielder
Stephenson probably his best all year
Daicos continues a breakout season.

Good signs there.

On the flipside, C Brown raised further questions about whether he is up to this level
Cameron looks below AFL standard and its getting harder to ignore

127-127.

Thank you Collingwood for putting these arrogant pieces of sh*t back in their box! :D :D :D :D :D

Kept them goalless in the second half.
Love that, hopefully they make finals and we finish 5th. That would be a dream!

how good is IQ, he plays like a 300 game player. So confident and great execution.

I thought T Brown was great tonight too.

Cox, may have turned a corner was competing a lot better tonight, that’s two consecutive games of improvement hopefully he continues that trend. He’ll benefit from some better ball movement.

Maynard, Moore and Adams- there are no superlatives to cover their contribution. Huge.

Noble was solid, he is growing on me. Takes it on.

Thomas - amazing what happens when you’re allowed to play more freely, played a lot better tonight.

Cameron was the only poor performer I thought tonight, Phillips for me can’t play finals he can’t handle the physicality.

Started showing good signs in 2nd half last week, the run and skills were improving and marks were sticking. Cox makes such a difference, straightens us up and gives a contest, I think Bucks read him the riot act and he has responded.

I refuse to write this year off, add De Goey, Pig, Howie, Sier and Treloar into the mix and we are timing our run nicely. We fear no one above us and are feeling settled in Brisbane now. Flag is there to be won - lets go and get it.

Sidey?! Surely he has a baby tomorrow...

I’ve been JT’ biggest critique. He played well today. A few brainfades, but overall pretty good.

This SHOULDNT be a stand out game. It should be happening most weeks. Hope he continues on with this form.

WHE however....
Hoskin played wel last week, JT today. I’ve been on JT all year, glad he turned it on today, but he needs to do more and hopefully gained some confidence.

In defence of them all, our forward line has been woeful and why we’ve been poor all year. Not sure what the answer is, but hopefully with Degoey back will add a bit more structure. Still don’t want cox playing next year, we need to find a KPF, but he needs to play over canton

I agree. Need our medium forwards to be our biggest contributors.
