Dursma, Curtis, Ford. That's it, let's go.
I thought we played more to space on Saturday and this allows to chase the ball as opposed to clunking it to contests where we have been continually out pointed so if we continue in that vein it should make it harder for the Pies defence to knock us offI’m the same. With Larkey, Zurhaar and Pink. Have to have Pink structurally so that oppositions don’t easily double team Larkey and peel off and intercept mark all day. This is super relevant with Darcy Moore who takes like 1000 intercept marks against us. Having good smalls and mediums is pointless if the ball never hits the deck inside 50.

the following announcement comes from heaven....
Saint Coach Emeritus Scamper (my little geelong cat saint)
who meows the following....
Yeah you’re right we definitely did that.
But I’ll give you an example of what I mean. Watch this video from 2:30 time stamp.
Big kick to a pack Pink does enough to half the contest. Genius Sheezel roves the pack the quick hands to LDU, kicks it to Larkey doesn’t quite mark it, Ford crumbs back to Larkey who slots the goal.
Without Pink in the side, that doesn’t happen. I get that he’s limited and if we’re to ever be a top side again we need a better big forward. But until then we simply have to play Pink so he can half that marking contest and allow the Sheezels of the team to rove the pack.
Wardlaw will hunt the clearance whilst minding him.. you seen how quick he makes up ground in 5 metres? In the middle Daicos doesn’t stand a chance if Wardlaw is on him.
Thats if they play him
So Wardlaw doesnt hunt or tackle? LOLThat is cute ..
Wardlaw is a bull and only knows one thing "get the ball", meaning he would be no good on Nick.
If you are going to put someone on Nick, they need to have one job and that is Nick, not the ball.
If you take your attention off him, he will be gone.
And so will the ball.
He is - TheHunter™So Wardlaw doesnt hunt or tackle? LOL
That's why I want to see Wardlaw against him at stoppages. Wardlaw hunts the man and the ball very effectively and is fast, especially over 5-10m. I think he is capable of stopping Daicos, who also has speed and vision but isn't really a genuine contested player. (He gets big clearance and contested numbers but relies on his ability to read the play and evade opposition players rather than bullocking his way thru traffic.)Where are people getting the notion that Daicos doesn't win his own ball? The guy plays inside and out and is an absolute gun.

entry the the birdcage assuredNice interviews with Brayden Maynard in both the Age and Hun ahead of his 200th game this week. He mentions that he has close mates playing for North - Zurhaar (sure, that tracks, strong shy guys with white line fever) and Curtis Taylor (what?).
Of course he does, that is the point. So Wardlaw doesnt hunt or tackle? LOL
He is hardly a ball hunter, if anything he hunts the man and ball equally. Not that I'd necessarily put him on Daicos specifically. He's wasted on a single player IMO.That is cute ..

Yes but he doesn't come across as the Finn Magginess "dont care about getting the ball, just make sure my opponent doesnt" type.He is hardly a ball hunter, if anything he hunts the man and ball equally. Not that I'd necessarily put him on Daicos specifically. He's wasted on a single player IMO.
My friend who doesn't follow North went to the Perth game. Sent me an email with a game report. Said number 5 for North is a thug.Nice interviews with Brayden Maynard in both the Age and Hun ahead of his 200th game this week.
