Tall at the back with Francis, Stewart, Laverde, Ridley & Zerk.

Ridley Zerk Stewart
Francis Laverde Hind
Heppell as defensive cover off the wing (in place of Cox)
?

Francis to play as a running half back. I suspect Francis will not play though. Didn’t play for the reserves

Man, Hooker is cooked.

I reckon it’s hard to say if he is cooked or not, but my feeling is he has a bit left in him. We just need him to play smarter (don’t push too far up the ground) and we need more consistency from him. I’ve noticed at times he doesn’t get as excited as his teammates when other teammates kick goals, particularly if he’s struggling himself. Normally he does get around them when he is also playing well; it says to me his mind is a little worried about his own performance.

The ball was very rarely put to the advantage of our forwards, leading ones or not.
I think it was more the forwards who just didn't get on their bikes enough. Melbourne filled the gaps and the forwards didn't lead because there was players in the space.

But that was as a collective, not a Hooker specific problem so I agree with your Hooker assessment.

It's not a difficult concept to understand.

Geelong isn't part of Melbourne
Geelong have a ground in Geelong
Other teams have played there for decades
We have been lucky for 28 years
Geelong want us to play in Geelong
It's their home game
Why should we expect Geelong to play in our town?

You're being very Essendon centric selfish

More generally, Geelong have a massive advantage over just about any other team in the comp.

Interstate teams have a home ground advantage against Melbourne clubs every second week practically, but have to travel on a plane as well.

Melbourne clubs don't have to travel interstate as much, but have many 'neutral' games in Melbourne against other Melbourne based teams.

Geelong have the best of both worlds - a solid home ground advantage, even against other Melbourne clubs, but don't have the interstate travel factor to deal with every second week.

It'd be like if Essendon played most of their home games at Windy Hill but then played other Melbourne based teams at Marvel/the MCG.

They should be making finals every year with a set up like they have.

Yeah look, I'll probably eat a hat over that, such has been my form. I just find his lack of pace and mobility frustrating.

well they do, but it's a bit of a pyrrhic victory when they cant close the deal at the G when it matters

if you want a team with a true advantage its Richmond... play all games at the G, the finals venue, which is also 50m walk from their training ground. True home comforts.

Have you guys received info re: ticket sales?

Seems the 50% capacity has just been confirmed this morning.

Reserved seat holders at KP, like me, have a small window tomorrow morning to book and it's likely only our reserved seat / social club members will get access.

Would be interested to know how ticketing will work for you guys, hope a few of you can make it down, it's a great place to watch footy albeit better when it's a packed house.

No email as yet. Expecting it this afternoon. Hopefully there's a small chunk of tickets as the away team.

I can't remember what the capacity at KP was earlier in the season, but there would have been 2k or so North/WCE away fans there when we played them.

Without Francis, I have concerns around BZT playing on Cameron or Hawkins. Hawkins will monster him and Cameron will work him over. It might mean they drop him regardless of Francis being available and Ridley takes Cameron.

More to the point she spent the entire movie trying to 'hit the bullseye' in a metaphorical sense and by the end of it she learned to stop trying :p
Gotcha, but I guess you could say she stopped trying because she realised she'd already hit it. Trying to think how that works on the football field so I don't derail this further lol.
