So much to like from the youngsters, they came in and out of the game but effort was tremendous.

Reeves gives the midfield a chance.
Our midfield defended.

Titch best on ground. Phillips played his best game at the club. Maybe he is just starting to settle in at the Hawks.

Could've got blown away after that first quarter, but they played with so much heart and commitment that they nearly beat a very classy team (Melbourne should have at least 5 AAs this year in Gawn, Petracca, Oliver, May and Lever). We've known all year what the back line is shaping up to be, but now we've seen what the forward line will be. Still a couple of gun mids short in the rotation, but there was a lot to like about tonight.

The only thing I'm disappointed with besides not winning when we were roundly written off, is that with those two brain fades from Frost in the fourth, he didn't have anyone give him a bit of encouragement. His execution doesn't match the enthusiasm, and he won't be on the list once we're contending again, but we are a team and need to be supporting our own.

Super ****ing proud! That’s how you have a crack at a game. Liked lots - bramble, DGB, Moore, Reeves and co. Just a bit of experience in the end, eg, Jeka out bodied twice in a few mins, and we nail that. I just can’t work out TOM out, sooo much to like, but stop ****ing kicking shit kicks round the corner with your eyes closed, you have time!!!
