Billings was terrible again today, either he is injured or he has signed on with another club and doesn't give a f***, he was all but non existent today.

A pick 3 at the peak of his career, he should be a matchwinner for us but instead he is just making up the numbers.

We'd be lucky to get a 2nd round pick in a trade for him with the way he's going.

Then again maybe port had a plan to take our better ball users out of the game, billings, sinclair etc. seemed to work quite well.

Keeping this brief as that was clearly a mess, so many players need to learn their limits around goals.

Dunstan (accuracy).
Crouch (distance).
Ross (both).

No team deserved 4 points in that game but we were definitely worse, 0.6 from set shots is pitiful.

Seriously though, is this REALLY a surprise? We've improved over the last while in comparison to earlier this year, but we've got a long way to go. Asking for 4 wins in a row from these guys is a big stretch...we'll probably go well next week and drop the Carlton game because it'll be a "must win" We're not a team that handles pressure...which is why we won't make finals.

I disagree Kildonan, he had 36 but went at 58% disposal efficiency (2nd lowest on the ground) & thought most of his disposals were rushed kicks that ended in either turnovers or put a saints player under pressure.. thought he tackled well but looked fumbly a lot of the time.

He butchered that shot on goal which was critical and fumbled a bit but he has blokes hanging off him all game. Couldn't buy a free kick. Shouldve had about 4 holding the man frees for him.

I reckon he was in our best, couldve had an enormous game if he'd have jagged that shot though.

I just can’t follow the rules any more, port arms around and holding at every ruck and marking contest, pushing our forwards in the back.

Sure we were bad but playing against 25 makes a tough game near impossible.

Umpiring in the game was pretty woeful. One of their goals in the last missed 3 frees to us in a row. Dixon elbowed someone in the face, their player threw it out and then their forward pushed Highmore in the back for a mark

Billings and Ross should both be moved on, they should be leaders of the club and be the hard edge footballers making a difference in games like today. we are not close to a top 4 side and those 2 will take us no where, make the hard call now. Byrnes takes Ross spot Connelly take Billings spot get some picks and free up some cap space. those 2 are the problem not the solution

Next year having Gresham - Dunstan , Clark - Ross , Coffield - Billings , Paton - Webster , Battle - McKenzie and Higgins - Kent I feel at least 6 players will not be playing from today's game.
It could really be more if we pick up a couple players in trade period.

I thought King was OK and Marshall was OK when he went forward but the rest of our forwards were atrocious.

We needed more goals from Membrey, Butler and Kent, we miss Higgins, he is good at making the most of our chaos ball forward entries.

Gresham would also be handy in our forward line when he returns.

Fair call .. Crouch wasn’t why we lost that game.. it was a collective of about 6 or 7 senior players that failed to influence the contest.. but ultimately when you have 9 set shots for goal and kick 0 that in itself is the ball game.

I'm an unashamed fan. Just think he's criminally underrated. He fires out handballs and gets clearances that nobody on our list is capable of. Yeah he's not quick and his goal kicking is below average, but shit, how many blokes do we have that can do that! Only Steele!

Well it’s all opinion but Marshall took a ball out of the ruck and nailed a goal on his left which was really against the run of play.

If you want to view that as a team lifter which it was then great, imo what I saw was a team that should have won by six winning a close one.

No worries. I watched a different game obviously and I haven’t even had a drink. I watched us look in control of the game until we gave it up with some horrible field kicking late in the game.
