Anyone at the game catch what Gawn was saying to Findlayson? Commentary box mentioned Gawn had a bit to say as he left the ground.
Gawn might have said "Is that all you've got?" Maybe talking about our teams ruckwork.

Its not height when they're talking about Butters being "too small".

Despite being shorter, Viney is also listed as 5kgs heavier.

Kossie Pickett at 171 cm is only 3kgs lighter than Butters.

Vineys jaw is bigger then butters

Why is Ken my boyfriend? Was that was meant to be some sort of homophobic primary school taunt 🤣
No, it’s because you’re in love with him.

Also aren’t you a woman?

Butters just needs to get back to believing in himself and his role. You won't get hurt if you commit to every contest and hit the pack and body hard, like he did in the beginning, regardless of your size to their size.

Extreme differences apply though, obviously. More extreme than you'll find in the AFL so it doesn't matter.

Well that would be odd as he and Jackson didn't exactly set the world on fire consideration they were up against non ruckmen all day.

Would have expected Gawn to have like 50 hit outs and we get smashed in the clearances but that wasn't the case.

Its a simple, same as every week, to much left to to few.

Mead and farrell dont get enough of the ball.

Mgs intensity just wasnt there.

Bonner super rusty.

Poor kicking and skills again.

Mead lined up on the wing for most of the day, Duursma is far and away better as a winger.

so goddamn *in disappointed. again. the door was open ffs.

We have lost 90% of these types of games under Hinkley. A chance at a 'season defining' win that will catapult us up the ladder after results have gone our way in other games.

I actually thought we would win yesterday. True battered spouse syndrome by now.

Bonner was back to being Bonner of old. Farrell is a nice player when he gets the footy, but he doesnt get it enough nor have elite pressure.

The tall backs are a worry going forward. We have forever been undersized down back and the makeshift ruck situation is embarrassing really.

Melbourne were very gettable yesterday, but as many have said, as soon as expectation came when we led, we crumbled. An absolute Ken led vintage PAFC performance yesterday. There was no surer thing that we would lose that even when we led in the third.

I don't like it either, but I guess the club doesn't mind. They're probably happy to have a pro-Port person on the airwaves with no (or very low) risk that they'll voice any kind of dissent or critique of Kenny and Kochie's Kumbaya.

Who was it?

Not surprised by yesterday, sat there watching it expecting the same loss we've seen for the past decade in games that have a heap riding on them against elite opposition and shock horror it happened at the point we looked like we were getting on top in the third quarter. You can set your watch to it happening, whenever we have hope in a season that happens. Been a constant for Hinkley's reign.

Hope what Arsene Wenger has posted around the traps is true, as this every season when opportunity knocks is becoming tiresome.

And can whoever came up with the idea to drop Burgoyne who'd looked the part in his two games for Bonner front the media and explain that selection. Was moronic when announced and played out that way on the field. Add that to the endless list of selection **** ups the past decade.

I don’t think the bonner for Burgoyne move was a bad one at all. Burgoyne had his poor moments in those games as well and bonner has been much improved across the season, clearly best 22. He had a bad game, but that doesn’t make it the selection howler that some people are making it out to be.

Bonner for Burgoyne was fine. Keeping Mead in the side over Burgoyne was questionable although I guess there were position considerations. I would've had just about anyone in over Mead.

Bonners form this year warranted him coming straight back in and he will be better for the run. He finished the game much better than he started

Given the largely contact free style of play by both teams and the beautiful weather conditions, both teams skill levels at time were appalling

They were just a bit less appalling than us

Confidence / mind set is so important in modern football

I think you can tell who was the more confident mentally

That's on the coaching

Sack the spud
