Don’t really care anymore and have mentally switched off from this season. But Banfield - He’s absolute dog s**t. What did he have at peel last week, 10 touches or something.
I’m sure Craig McRae is quaking in his boots
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Kicked the goal to seal the win. Involved in the play that resulted in the goal prior .

Just for you 😃 if you switched off, switch off the whining too 👍

I suspect that even with all these outs we will be older and more experienced than most teams we have put out all year. There will be very boring/uninspiring changes.

Cox --> Hamling
Young --> Wilson
Frederick --> Colyer
Serong --> ? NOD or Banners - one to go to sub over worner

Looks like he found his level at last.
Plodders like Banfield and a few others that get regular game time are the reason the Dockers are a bottom 6 side and will remain so as long as they keep getting regular games.
That might be enough to keep fanboys like you happy and good for you if so.

Watched him on the weekend at the game. Guy could barely move at points trailing his opponent by 20 meters. Was a disgrace they played him.
Why the f@$k is he playing then?
Even when they are both fully fit, there’s not much difference between Frederick and Sturt.
But JL would prefer to give banged up Frederick a game rather than play Sturt fully fit?

Damn you're pissed, taking a dump on everything Freo no matter what today.

He’s been doing it all year with Pearce and brayshaw who needed a spell but they just keep playing them as some kind of badge of honour.

I’m just so frustrated they way this season has panned out. The dockery injuries today haven’t helped and of course it’s always the best players that get these knocks. There’s just so many excuses around youth and average age and injures etc being trotted out. I get that to an extent but up until the last 2 weeks we had one of the best injury lists in the league. It’s reverting to the mean now that’s all.
Of course there’s been positives this year. Amiss and MJ.
Serongs form
Clark and Ryan have been pretty good too.
Walters Indian summer is one of the most underrated stories of the season - he’s maybe 2 more bags of 4 goals a game away from being a AA contender in my opinion. Certainly in the running to be a squad member.

But I just feel the club is sleepwalking to a bottom 4 or 5 finish. It’s not acceptable. Even allowing for the excuses I mentioned earlier there needs to be some accountability. Just go back to the pre season training thread for a moment last February. Nobody in their wildest dreams commenting those weeks thought we would be handing over pick 4 or 5 this year for Luke Jackson having been in in 14th place at this late stage of the season. It was unthinkable. The few posters who dared suggest we might not make finals were ridiculed and mocked for not thinking we were going to be top 4.

For me this situation has all the hallmarks of the Mark Harvey 2011 situation.
I’ll bet you anything if this board was active in august 2011 with the same posters, heaps on here would have been horrified at the ruthless decision to get Ross in. “Harves deserves another year” etc etc.
History has shown in the 28 year history of the Fremantle football club it was THE single best decision and most important decision ever made by the club. For 4 years we were blockbuster. A serious team. Genuine giants of the comp after years of being an afterthought.
If we lose 5 or more of our last 7 there’s another defining moment for the leaders of the club to address. Perish the thought - if we lose to WCE…. 🙈🙈
Should we be bold and find a new coach or double down with JL for 2023 if we finish the season losing 10 of our last 12 games? I don’t know. The club executive gets paid the big bucks to make that call.

Also - what are expectation for next year now in light of this? How many teams are we realistically going to finish ahead of next season?

There is kind of a really big difference between Frederick and Sturt when both are fully fit tbh.

Frederick has even had some good games this season when he’s clearly carrying something. Sturt has maybe had a good five minutes here and there - That’s it and he’s supposedly fully fit.

I think if we get serious about improving coaching dept it will take care of itself.
That means if JLo fails then we have the successor in place.
At worst we have a Sam Mitchell type at the club lifting standards either as a
player for a year, then transitions into coaching.
Or we do nothing and waste everyone’s time.
Having Carr join Hinkley you can see what they were thinking.

We seem to have accumulated an awful lot of lower leg injuries this season. Calves, ankles, feet - individually not causing a great loss of games but many played with a degree of physical handicap.

Would be nice to see Stanley getting a debut this weekend. Nothing to lose and he looked a more promising prospect last weekend than the usual suspects at Peel.
There is heaps of precedent for mid season draftees coming into better teams than Freo and making an impact before anyone says he’s not at the club long enough to be ready…

Real shame for worner that he got injured this week when so much opportunity opened up. After 17 weeks of having very little chance to get an AFL game due to a good injury list.

You are talking as if Frederick is a multiple AA level player that has proven elite credits in the bank over several years. Players like Walters in 2022 for example, have earned the right though 200 odd games of high quality output over a decade, to play themselves though a form slump while remaining in the AFL without being dropped to peel.

Now I’m a big fan of Frederick, especially in the long term, but at this stage of his career he has not earned the right to have 6 or 7 weeks in a row of crap footy and still remain in the team. When he has an AA or two and a few top 5 B&F finishes behind him and he’s 28 years old with 170 games to his game, yep then - I’ll cop 6 weeks of bad footy from Freddy because we will have some proof that he has proven consistent class at this level and he can find his way though it. Just like Sonny did in 2022.

But now? Nah. Off to peel with you Freddie and find your best form down there. He’s not that much better than the alternatives. I don’t care who they are. Selection integrity has to mean something. He’s not some superstar that we have to keep on the park half crocked at all costs. Ironically the best form spell we saw from Freddie was when he got some rare tough love last year and was dropped for disciplinary reasons. I’d rather he spend 2 or 3 weeks at peel or getting fully fit, then come back in for the last month with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove, than more of the same and being treated as an undroppable.

lol fmd having aish in the guts would be even worse, hes been shocking this year get him out of the team

wagner in??? * that

why put young on a wing get him in the centre if anything
I agree completely that Aish has been terrible the last two weeks in particular which is why I think he's the player that should be dropped ahead of anyone else. My reason is that Logmuir seems to accept sub standard effort and poor decision making far too often so its time to give a few (not just Aish) of those who seem to have gone backwards in terms of their effort this season a wake-up call. I'd also drop Switta ad Freddy for the same reason and Ive been a big fan of both in recent seasons. I'd also rather change players into different positions that they haven't previously played in to see if we can find something new to change up our current predictable game plan. Eg Walker to a wing or Ryan forward. While those changes might not be long term it's probably worthwhile remebering that Mundy had never played midfield in any capacity before he was tried there at AFL level. If I remember right Michael Johnson was also tried onball for a brieif period the same season and that didnt work out to be his best position obviously but the decision to try two defenders onball was the reason why we ended up with the midfield genius of Mundy for so many years.

This exactly. Move some magnets around and try something brave for a game or two. The fans will respond positively - i would love to see that. Nothing to lose this weekend anyway nobody expects much

Hear Hear !!!

Hear Hear !!!
My changes this week would be
In: Sturt, Wagner, Worner (into the 22) Brodie, Sub Colyer.
Out: Hughes, Aish, Switta, Freddy, O'Meara
If Worner isn't declared fit then Hughes would get a final chance and Walker would spend time on the wing with Wagner playing mostly defence and some wing. What would be your changes?
