For me the most disturbing comment he made was that we are playing a 2021 game in 2023. He is spot on but unfortunately it continues to be ignored by JL and his coaching assistants. What does it take for the penny to drop?

We have so many talented players being wasted. Even with an injection of several fresh, young talented players eager to contribute this year, it isn’t enough to overcome a tired and dated game plan that just doesn’t work.

It doesn’t matter how many player changes are made for next week, Collingwood will take us to a new scary low.
Its not that they are more talented than us but they play a game plan that works.

I wish I could have your optimism.

I was at the MCG last year during the finals when Collingwood belted the snot out of us. Our team was playing infinitely better football then and they decapitated us and shat down our neck.

We are playing marginally better than West Coast and they are playing better football than last year.

I want to see some serious personnel and/or role changes this week. Lots of possibilities have been mentioned on this thread. Here are a few;

Shore up the midfield:
Brodie in if fit
Centre square time to Treacy and or Jackson, if fit
Use Banfield as a tagger, he can go to de Goey this week
Young to the midfield (not an option I am keen on)

Do something about the wings:
Clark
Worner
Wilson
Brayshaw

Get the defence to actually defend, we are currently getting neither defence nor rebound at the moment:
Hamling, only option I can think of.

Although I think the defence did quite well to hold it to 4 goals in the first quarter yesterday, generally I think they have been poor this year. We have let in the 8th most inside 50s this year, but are 4th worst for scores against. One could argue that some of that is lack of pressure up the field, but some of is crap defence.

Bring Sturt in and tell him he has 7 games to save his AFL career. Drop Switta or Freddie.
