Geelong should win by 8-10 goals if they are a hope of winning this year
Cats have as much chance of winning the premiership as Tiger Wood has of winning the British Open. They are found out in tight matches against good sides that apply huge pressure. They are slow. This counts against them on the turnover where they are scored against at will by teams with huge pressure ethic and good delivery.

They benefitted from playing sides that simply bombed into their really tall backline. Every team is a wake up now that to beat them you pass off tge ball get the fast break and outpace them.

I ******* hate Geelong
I don't, they are the only Victorian team I have any time or respect for.
Really well run club, don't get all the bullshite advantages the Melbourne teams appear to get and I like and admire most of their players. Scott is the only thing that annoys me with them and that is only because he carries on like a pork chop in the box during the game, aside from that he is a very good coach and from what I've seen of him being interviewed, an extremely logical, intelligent man.
Of the current top 8, they would be my second team of choice to win.

I agree. We have a lot of similarities. Both made to play finals at opposition grounds, both criticised for playing in boutique stadiums, both have stars but driven by a no-fuss playing group. Both have spectator groups unfairly judged (for different reasons). I went to a game down there a few years ago where we beat them and the Geelong fans around us couldn't have been more gracious. Who doesn't like a local ground with the faint waft of fish souvlaki in the air?

Yes i forgot to add that i also have found their fans gracious in defeat and equally as gracious in victory.

I applaud Geelong's game showing respect for Adam Goodes.
Loved the teams ran out together

#Respect

Thank you Geelong

Plus, like a generous sibling they give us their hand me downs. Chambers and Playfair were practically unworn.
So what about those from Geelong and surrounds: Mumford, Rohan,
and current admin/coaches and players: Harley, Gardiner, Stevie J, Ling, McCartin, Melican, Menzel, Thurlow?

That's a mixed bag of lollies.

I'm happy we didn't win
Completely up to you how you support & I by no means am telling you that you are right/wrong... but I really really hate seeing this in our supporter base.

The sooner we start winning again the better.

I've always thought Geelong and Sydney were like kindrid spirits.

Both hated by opposition fans for nothing more than being competitive year in, year out.

Both clubs have great cultures, great recruiters and are free of off field scandals.

Both clubs have star players taken from other clubs who get all the attention, while both teams have turned former rookies, state league players and random misfits into quality AFL players without anyone else noticing or caring.

Of course you've also got the Harley factor - one of my all time favourite players and one of the key people responsible for turning our inconsistent team into a dynasty - as well as Stevie J and others.

I was probably the only Victorian supporting you in the 2016 GF.

I have never been more proud to be a Geelong supporter than the day Goodes returned at KP and we stood and applauded him.

No one deserved to win last week it was one of the most diabolical matches I’ve seen. Skills were utterly abysmal. So winning would band aid the cracks in that performance.

Play Grassy or may as well not turn up IMO.

In: Grassy, Dawson, Amartey, Rose
Out: Florent, Blakey (r), McCartin (r), Heeney (r)

And Selwood. It really is disgraceful the way he drops at the knees whenever anyone is a chance to lay a hand on him. Totally contrary to the spirit of the game. Otherwise they are a respectable club.

My Geelong supporting fiance unfriends me on facebook every time Sydney beats Geelong. Then shoots through a friend request halfway through the second quarter of the 2017 semi final...

I have a pretty strong feeling you won't be unfriended this weekend :'(

This dude has us beating cats:

A swannies win? Possible, but one would think highly improbable. Too error prone at the moment and too much at stake for cats given now at pointy end. Cats have been found out a bit recently and put under spotlight so it's anyone's guess if they come out breathing fire but am guessing they'll do enough to get over line which could give them their mojo back and go on a winning streak after temp lull.

Geelong and Sydney also share a passion for questionable ruck outfits. Amazing both could still have Mummy.
Anyway, let's put the mutual love-in on hold for a week. Let's smash those kitty-cats.

People who love the draft and adding top talent are more likely to look at that side of losing.

The sport is set up to hope you lose in some sense

i personally dont want to watch the team go out and there and not care about winning
