Maybe phrased badly - see my post above about the differences between being the focal point and the 3rd tall forward and what he does at VFL level vs what he does at AFL level - I meant it in that context.

But you’re right, he’s learning off Hogan and will be better for it - which is why we should probably get off his back a bit.
Agree completely. He is playing in a forward line with Hogan, Ricccardi and Toby. 90% of forward entries would be directed to one of these three. Also worth noting he spends significant periods on the bench. His attack on the ball and hands are improving and with games this development will continue. I think the last thing he needs is to be in / out of the ones. Persist and let him play the third tall role.

It’s an interesting one. There’s no question that Brown is a top 22 player when in form, but since initially being dropped he hasn’t been able to force his way back into the side. We all love the skills and athleticism he brings but it’s obvious the coaches are not seeing improvements in the areas they told him to work on.

Cadman is and probably always will be a victim of the high expectations that come with being a top draft pick.

However, he too has been dropped already in recent weeks, so the people calling for him to be dropped again have a point. He may have a specific role to play in the side but the coaching staff are clearly seeking more from him as we are.
He had 5 score involvements on the weekend including 2 goal assists.

He is also the 3rd tall and 4th target. You're not going to get bags of goals in that role.

If we drop someone to bring Brown back it'll be a small
Cadman is so close to being really good. He got UP three times and got both hands to it. When they stick he will be dangerous.
I think this is the perfect apprenticeship under Hogan.
I'm not really sure what people are worried about with him. 2nd year key forward getting a lot of games under his belt. It'll click and when it does it'll be fantastic. Let Hogan go to work.

Bedford's kick streaming into forward 50 might be the worst I've ever seen
Bedford misses targets by hand and by foot a lot.

He offers a lot, but has weaknesses.

peatling is the same.

Both very good at what they do, but have the same limitation, when they both play, quite a few chains break down. I think, when everyone is available, they only play one for that reason.

He is also the 3rd tall and 4th target. You're not going to get bags of goals in that role.
It also means he's not drawing the other team's best tall defender, so it goes both ways. I think he's going okay and could develop into a good player, but the fact that he was dropped a few weeks ago (for a rookie) suggests the coaching staff are also seeking more output from him.

Toby Greene has received two goal of the round nominations.

Great achievement, TFG!!
