for the record, the 50m penalty was brutal. i dont think it was warranted.

wouldn't have mattered though - those last minute winners are Bartel's bread and butter.

i'm not sure Geelong deserve to be that happy about it. they nearly kicked themselves out of it.

The free was obvious, as was the 50.
Without a doubt.

Whistle went, clear geelong kick, he picks it up and boots it away.

If he thought it was a North kick then why did he thump it away and not let the clock wind down?

That's all well and good, but this is an INDOOR stadium mate, there is no excuse for that.

if they were the home team he'd have a legitimate gripe

Kicked the ball away a couple seconds after the free kick was called. Pretty stock standard 50m

Couple of seconds? it was barely one second.

Wouldn't call us chokers. We played well in the first half, they played well in the second half. That's it, tale of two halves.

Well done Geelong. For the first time I agree with posters bagging Brad Scott, usually he's no worse than 5-6 other coaches and normally says what everyone is thinking, but come on, Geelong played two ruckman in the wet!

Sucks for us, we have Swans and Hawthorn as 2 of our next 3 games so could be 1-4 and that's assuming Brisbane don't lift in the next fortnight. But we had our opportunities, just not there yet. Like I said all summer, we aren't 'there' in 2013 just like we weren't 'there' in 2012.

Hansen non existent. Cunnington embarrassing. Tarrant barely passable. Petrie their only big forward. Scott crying.

Normal service at North.

How good is that Ben Jacobs? Real gun.

Free was there.
50 was there.
Weather should be irrelevant.

But it's the "assistance" given to the Cats in the second half that I can't agree with.
Sure they played well and I knew they'd come back, but they had some help.
Same way you got help in the first half. Fact is the team that goes hard and gets the ball is going to win the free kicks. We saw that today.

They were first to the ball all second half. Not surprised they got the frees.

Scott Thompson though...
