Its always fascinating to watch a game without referring to BigFooty as I did tonight. There is always sort of a mob zeitgeist that develops during the game and seems to influence the game day threads, maybe its just one or 2 peanuts. Watching as a neutral I thought the umpiring was decent all night, not one way or the other and that Cotchin was easily the most influential player when the game was up for grabs.

Yet here we are, another Plugger led whingefest (seriously dude, get another joke this one isn't worn thin its gone completely), Cotchin being derided as a show pony and media love child.

Decent game of footy without being spectacular, its only round 2, teams are still finding their form. You'd think the world was ending, some of the crap that gets talked here.

Good post. You realise this mob zeitgeist consists of basically the same group of people commenting the same things for every game.

pretty much, although there are a few sheep too who follow along.
Still its the footy I suppose, we all get passionate about it else we wouldn't be here.

Cracks me up people sooking about he umps, they were ordinary as they always are. I could find you frees for Vickery and Jack every time they went for a mark, you can't tackle a guy to ground when they are trying to mark the footy. And don't get me started on a Saints player tackling and throwing down Edwards as he chased the ball 10m in front of him  Frees were missed for both teams all game, but would never have changed the result.

go back through the thread and you'll see that rather than lead by plugger its lead by neutrals who arent just trolling. ( I do not include you in this category ).

Good post.
Its round 2, Tiges were ordinary, we won, move on to next week.

The jelly just doesn't stop. I guess they should just ignore a bloke that's had 64 possesions in 2 games then?
Only 32 of them have been effective though.

Cotchin has been good these last few weeks, winning clearances and racking up touches. The umps love him and he'll be near the top of the Brownlow leaderboard at the moment. But his disposal have been very sloppy to start the season.

Yeah it was big bad old Plugger holding a gun to all the other posters heads in this thread and forcing them to say that St Kilda were screwed by the umpires.

Jesus H Christ, I don't know what's worse, the shit umpiring or the shitheads defending it.

with the 2nd oldest list yet at the bottom of the ladder would you say the saints list is in deep trouble?

Well said :thumbsu:

To be honest thought we scrapped out a win on the back of some great individual efforts from Conca, Jack and Cotchin's 2nd half. Not the greatest team performance but we won and we won ugly; a good sign.
The umpiring was bad, in our favour, some awful decisions both ways though

And the pathetic attempts at belittling the Tiges in this thread are laughable, we've played okay for the first 2 games and have scraped home some wins which we would have lost in years previous. Not many are getting ahead of themselves as the minions on here would have you believe.

You got gifted a win by the umpires FFS, don't go pretending otherwise.

The AFL want Richmond back in the top 8, just enjoy the free ride but don't expect expect any pats on the back from Saints supporters.

Your joking, we were shyte all night and still should have won by plenty. I've got a soft spot for the Saints from the Plugger, Harvey, Winmar and Buckets days, but your in serious trouble as a team.

No, now piss off you vulture

I'm of the view that his efficiency will increase against the better teams because the better teams usually only employ run-with midfielders at most rather than hard taggers; the less fixation on Cotchin, the greater I imagine his disposal efficiency will be.

We lead from the 5 minute mark of the game? We were a sitting two goals pretty for 85% of the match, don't go pretending otherwise

Irrelevant and silly.

The saints haven't been great (this year or last year) and their list is very old.. surely that points to huge problems for the future?

Oh Nostradamus, If you are so good at reading the signs, what signs did you use to predict the hugely massive enormous problems Richmond had since..... when did it even start.
