Dea and Hartley are both doing an amazing job considering the undersized /undermanned team they're in. Seriously the amount of ease the ball is going in their back half Essendon should have over 25 goals kicked against them every week. Both of those players would have been terrific on our list ATM .

Comes back to the statement made at the start of Hardwicks tenure about not selecting players with poor foot skills, and then doing the opposite.
We have far to high percentage of players on our list with below average footskills. That gets highlighted in pressure situations like Friday night.

Those same footskills have been fine in pressure situations before... like Hawks, Freo, Sydney, Coll etc last year.... we had a shit night.... particularly Taylor Hunt but it was decision-making that cost us equally as much as execution last week.

Nope, well they can like re-sign them but they become free agents, Essendon don't get first dibs on them.

I don't think that is true, I think they need to go into the draft as Essendon have no rights to just retain them which they could do if they were free agents.
